The theory, posted to YouTube by SuperCarlinBrothers, suggests that Mrs Norris is more than just a cat belonging to Hogwarts caretaker Argus Filch and is instead a Maledictus. In the Potter universe, a Maledictus is a woman who is eventually turned into a beast due to a blood curse carried from birth.
Norris isn't just a cat wandering the grounds, although there are plenty of those, too. Instead, she's a Maledictus which "is a carrier of a blood curse which will ultimately destine them to transform permanently into a beast," according to the official Wizarding World site, formerly known as Pottermore.
Behind the scenes. Mrs Norris seems exceptionally smart for a cat, to the point that many have suspected she is a cat/Kneazle cross like Crookshanks or an Animagus. However, J. K. Rowling has stated on her website that she is just a highly unpleasant cat.
