This tree, which appears in the final part of the season, is called Yggdrasil, which means “Tree of Life,” but it has a much deeper meaning in Marvel, and was first mentioned or appeared in the credits of 2011′s Thor.
Secondly and much more obviously was the whole idea of the multiverse having 'timeline branches' that were put at risk of being 'pruned' by Kang. Loki once again, giving life to those branches and symbolising rebirth and resurrection as he became the world tree in the finale.
In the Loki season 2 finale, Loki becomes a living embodiment of Yggdrasil. In Norse mythology, the tree holds all Nine Realms together, controlling all life and death. In the MCU, this is redefined to hold all of the multiverse, with Loki now at its center – making him the literal God of Time.
Becoming the God of Stories, Loki is now a living Temporal Loom holding all the branches together. To that end, Loki has transformed the timelines into a true multiverse tree, complete with roots and actual branches with Loki himself at the center keeping it all growing and alive while sitting on a new throne.

Is Loki now the god of time?
By saving and organizing every existing timeline, Loki has become the God of Time — a higher being who keeps the past, present, and future of every universe from being erased by outside forces. However, Loki has also become the God of Stories, as he has placed everybody's personal journey above his own.
While a Loki season 3 is seemingly not in the works yet, but members of the show's team have addressed the idea that it currently wouldn't be impossible for a third season to happen.
Some say it's a multiverse and some heavily disagree. In Marvel, Yggdrasil is the World Tree that connects (at least) the Ten Realms of Norse Mythology. It is stated to actually contain an infinite number of complex and fully formed universes, which include the Ten Realms.
In Loki, without someone to keep the timelines in their proper places, the multiverse crumbles into "spaghettified" ash. Loki transforming the Temporal Loom into a tree with endless branches recalls Yggdrasil, especially since Loki is protecting the branched timelines by literally holding onto every universe.
Yggdrasill is associated with both life and death: it acts as a gallows that the god Odin hangs himself from in order to gain mystical knowledge, and it is said to be the source of new life after Ragnarök (Doomsday), the catastrophic final war of the gods.
During the final Ragnarök, Thor wanted to end the continuous Ragnarök cycles the Asgardians were subjected to, so he ripped apart the Loom of the Fates, destroying Yggdrasill and everyone within Asgard. Despite this, Yggdrasill would come back in to existence.
In Thor: The Dark World, Odin reminds Loki that Asgardians are not immortal and have lifespans as humans do, to which Loki responds: "Give or take 5,000 years." From this, it can be calculated that Asgardians live to about 5,100, with Loki being around 1050 years old in the MCU.
When Odin's own wife Frigga was killed at the hands of the Dark Elves' leader Malekith, Odin vowed revenge on them, no matter the cost, putting him at odds with his son. After faking his death, Loki cast a spell on Odin, banishing him to New York City while masquerading as Odin and ruling Asgard himself.
Since Loki sacrificed his own personal freedom in order to save his friends, he formed a new World's Tree that connects the multiverse together. Using his magic and his ability to control time, he brought life to the dead branched timelines.
