After months of fan speculation, Star Wars has revealed the identity of the down-on-his clone trooper who appeared in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Per The Direct, the new Star Wars Dawn of the Republic The Visual Guide confirms that Temuera Morrison's bearded clone, who briefly begs Obi-Wan for any spare credits, is named Nax.
The new Star Wars: Dawn of the Republic: Visual Guide has revealed that Temuera Morrison's veteran clone trooper from the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi is none other than Nax, a member of the 501st Legion.
During the Clone Wars, the 7th was led by Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Marshal Commander Cody. As a corps within the Grand Army of the Republic, the 7th Sky Corps consisted of 36,864 troopers divided into sixteen regiments.
As its name suggests, the 212th specialized in invasions, frontal attacks, besiegements and other offensive scenarios. Therefore, they often acted as the main offensive force in major battles, such as spearheading the Republic's deployment on Geonosis, sieging the Umbaran capital city and invading Utapau.

What did the 327th Star Corps specialize in?
The 327th had elite pilots trained to operate the highly maneuverable Infantry Support Platform. The 327th Star Corps was a corps within the Grand Army of the Republic under the command of Jedi General Aayla Secura and Clone Marshal Commander Bly.
The squad was led by Clone Sergeant Boss and consisted of second-in-command Fixer, Sev, and Scorch. Delta Squad participated in some of the war's most dangerous missions.
The 501st continued to exist as an elite formation in the Stormtrooper Corps with recruited stormtrooper soldiers. The 501st became infamous as Vader's personal enforcers. However, the 1st Legion also served as Darth Vader's personal stormtrooper legion.
The 41st Elite Corps was led by Jedi General Luminara Unduli, whilst Clone Commander Gree served as the second-in-command. Clone Captain Jek and Unduli's Jedi Padawan, Jedi Commander Barriss Offee, was also part of the corps.

It's very possible that the trooper, as a member of the 501st Legion which Kenobi fought alongside on many occasions, did recognise his former General but chose to keep it to himself.
He was first identified as "Nax" in a Star Wars San Diego Comic-Con 2023 panel revealing information from the Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide reference book, which was released in 2023.

As such, a Marshal Commander was roughly equivalent to a Major General or Lieutenant General in other services; it was also the highest rank a clone could be given in the Grand Army of the Republic.
