Complicating things still further, Jurassic World Dominion became a sepia-toned mess that, like one of the series' hybrid failures, couldn't knit the two competing styles together. The lack of coherent planning and vision was also evident in Dominion's misguided reliance on nostalgia.
When the locust swarm is let loose on the Biosyn field, the swarm is much larger than what could have fit inside the cell that had previously contained it. Significant space within that cell was dedicated to locusts in various states of development, so not all of them would even have been able to fly as shown.
It's probably time to let this franchise rest, but between some entertaining action and the fun of seeing members of the original cast reunited, Jurassic World Dominion is a decent enough sequel.

The number one rule when making a Jurassic movie is to make it about dinosaurs and for some reason, that rule was broken.
Despite having thin storylines and a convoluted narrative, Jurassic World Dominion was a box-office success because of the franchise's strong and loyal fanbase. With the sixth movie, it was important to connect all the installments together satisfyingly.
The most heinous crime however: the fact that this film normalizes dinosaurs being in the world. Because of this, we lose the awe and wonder of seeing dinosaurs alongside the characters, a feeling that has been present in every "Jurassic" film until now.
