LINCOLN, Vt. – When Randy and Evi Quaid announced they would be settling in Lincoln, customers of the general store at the center of town were shocked by how different the actor looks from his role as Cousin Eddie in National Lampoon's Vacation series.
Randy Quaid was born in Houston, Texas, the son of Juanita Bonniedale “Nita”, a real estate agent, and William Rudy Quaid, an electrician. He is the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid. Quaid is married to former Helmut Newton model Evi Quaid. Randy attended Pershing Middle School and Bellaire High School.
They're not exactly Texas' Barrymores, but the Quaid brothers certainly reign as the state's best-known acting siblings. Randy is a character actor and comedian; Dennis is an action hero and leading man.
However, eight years after the twins' near-fatal overdose, Quaid shared an update on how they were doing during a December 2015 appearance on the Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast. "They're perfectly normal as could be now," he said. "They're like head of their class."
