Where were Wakanda scenes filmed in Black Panther?
When the filmmakers were scouting locations for Wakanda, the fictional African nation in "Black Panther," they were wowed when they came upon Vulcan Materials quarry in Stockbridge. In fact, the site was used for several scenes depicting Wakanda, including the dramatic snowy mountain scenes.
There were scenes filmed in Puerto Rico meant to reflect Cap-Haïtien, a northern coast in Haiti, and of Haitians speaking their native tongue, Haitian Creole. Speaking creole instead of French meant a lot to me, that was the language of our colonizers.

Wakanda is a fictional country, which was created along with Black Panther in 1966. Wakanda is located in East Africa - the exact location varies, but the MCU depiction shows it bordering South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda.
Wakanda was based primarily on the southern African country Lesotho, an enclave that had historically only lightly been colonised by the British because of its terrain. Much of the production style was also based on architecture from Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, D.R.C. and Ethiopia.

“Water has a lot of challenges,” says Wētā VFX supervisor Chris White. “A lot of the stuff that we had were plates that were shot in the tank, filming underwater camera movement and then putting in digital environments behind it.” And White has had a lot in thinking about how to visualize underwater living.

Although the film is set in Africa, most of the footage was actually recorded in Atlanta and South Korea. The film's producers began filming first in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The crew also relocated to various locations around Atlanta, including Pinewood Atlanta Studios and the Sweet Auburn neighborhood.
Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) is one of the most powerful warriors of Wakanda, acting as a spy and working on protecting the nation's secrets. She's also King T'Challa's romantic interest in 2018's Black Panther.
