The Twins (played by identical twins: Neil and Adrian Rayment) are fictional characters in the 2003 film The Matrix Reloaded. Henchmen of the Merovingian, they are "Exiles", or rogue programs believed to be older versions of Agents from a previous iteration of the Matrix.
The first theory is The Twins were once Agents themselves. It's known they are "Exiles" - rogue programs cast off from the mainframe. But this theory posits they were previously Agents from a much older, now defunct version of The Matrix, and they eventually went rogue and were thus cast out.
The Twins are supporting antagonists in The Matrix Reloaded, the second instalment in The Matrix franchise. They are the two bodyguards of the Merovingian. They were ghost programs designed for unknown reasons. They wore white clothes, and had long white hair.

What happened to the Twins in Matrix?
The Twins are caught in the very center of the blast and don't return for the final movie, strongly suggesting that Morpheus killed them. But when The Twins are being propelled through the air, they both engage their ghostly, non-corporeal forms, implying that they're still alive and preparing for a semi-safe landing.

She is completely comfortable with her gender expression in both the Matrix and the real world, and it is never a point of contention. If at all, it's mentioned once that Neo thought Trinity was a man where she replies, “Most guys do.” But Trinity's expression is never a plot point.

Trinity is first discovered by agents while she's in room 303, which seems fitting, given that her name means a group of three. Neo, who later discovers that he is "The One," lives in room 101 — continuing the trend of fitting room numbers.
In the first Matrix film, Morpheus explains that Neo's "body" is a digital construct created by his mind known as a "residual self-image," rather than an actual flesh-and-blood human body.
“Follow the White Rabbit” is the cryptic instruction given to Neo in The Matrix. It is an overt allusion to Lewis Carrol's novel Alice in Wonderland and the White Rabbit that leads her down a madcap, upside down world where logic lays insanity bare and blurs the line between what should be and what is not.
The Matrix trilogy suggests that everyone has the individual responsibility to make the choice between the real world and an artificial world. Though Neo is the exemplar of free will, fate plays a large role in his adventure. Neo relies on the Oracle, and everything she says comes true in some way.
So a second reason for the cool name is that we are talking, in the movie, about a computer system generating a virtual reality in which human beings are embedded (literally, since they are lying down in pods). Thus, the computer program forms a literal matrix, one that bears an intentional likeness to a womb.
In Greek, "neo-" is a prefix meaning "new," just as his character is a new version of himself, looking to help forge a new world. And the meaningful name layers don't stop there! Thomas means "twin" in both Greek and Hebrew, again paralleling how Neo is both his original self and The One.
The Fifth One (mainly referred to just as The One at the time) was a legendary human male born inside the Matrix who somehow became powerful enough to manipulate nearly any aspect of the Matrix to his liking.
The Architect is a highly specialized program of the Machine world, as well as the creator of the Matrix. As the primary superintendent of the system, he is possibly a collective manifestation or perhaps a virtual representation of the entire Machine mainframe.
The Prophecy was a prediction made by the Oracle and, as told to Neo by Morpheus, stating the coming of The One and that it will herald the destruction of the Matrix and the freedom of humanity from their oppression by the Machines. Once The One enters the Source, he will have the power to destroy the Matrix.
Though few specifics are revealed about her previous life inside the Matrix, it is told that she cracked a database so secure that she is famous among hackers, and that Morpheus, one of a number of real-world hovercraft commanders, initially identified her and helped her escape from the program.
In order to prevent the entire system from crashing, the machines must periodically destroy Zion and "The One" must reboot the Matrix and choose a group of people to rebuild the city. Neo discovers that this cycle has occurred five times in the past and is about to complete its sixth repetition.
