When Lex went to see Lana in the hospital after having been exorcised of Zod, she is understandably skittish towards him but forgave him and moved into the Luthor Mansion. Lex and Lana consummate their relationship.
Lana miscarrying her baby. One week later, she told Lex that she didn't feel well enough to go on their honeymoon, so they canceled the trip. After Lana collapsed in pain and passed out, Lex was forced to tell her that she had suffered complications and miscarried the baby.
Luthor is more successful in wooing Lois. The two begin to date, and despite Clark and her other friends trying to convince her he is an evil man, become engaged (the writers were quick to make it clear, however, that the two were not sleeping together).

The suave Lex Luthor, Jr., would prove to be something of a "good guy," eventually coming to romance Supergirl. This was an incredibly weird situation, with Superman and his parents discouraging Matrix's relationship with him.

Unsurprisingly, Batman's most popular love interest is the antihero and occasional villain Catwoman. Even though they often stand on opposite sides of the law, Batman and Catwoman still understand each other.
