When they meet, Arwen is thousands of years old with immortal beauty and he a young 20-something man. However, next time they meet, Aragorn is in his 50s. This was when Arwen fell in love with him, so his 30 years of maturing must have done some good. Aragorn eventually would live to be 210.
And when they later meet at Rivendell, the two clearly have a long history together stretching long before joining the Fellowship. This isn't surprising, as, despite their looks, Aragorn is 87 during this era, and Arwen is over 2700 years old, so they've had more than enough time to know each other.
They first met in 2951, when she was 2,710 years old and he was 20 years old. They met again after a long parting in 2980, when he was 49 and she was 2,739. It was at this point that she realised she loved him. (Aragorn had loved her since their first meeting.)
Aragorn and Arwen meet again in Lothlórien, nearly thirty years later. Galadriel dresses Aragorn in "silver and white, with a cloak of elven-grey and a bright gem on his brow", so that he seems to be an elf-lord. Arwen sees him and makes her choice.
How many generations are there between Aragorn and Arwen?
The next and perhaps less obvious, way that Aragorn and Arwen make a unique match is that Arwen is Aragorn's aunt. However, because Arwen is also so much older than Aragorn, it is a relationship that spans not only race but also generations. But how many generations? For Arwen, it would be two.

Is Galadriel Arwen's grandmother?
Through her great-grandmother, Idril, Arwen was a descendant of King Turgon of the Noldor. Through her mother, she was the granddaughter of the Elf-queen Galadriel of Lothlórien. Through both of her parents, Arwen was a direct descendant of the ancient Elven House of Finwë.
Arwen was the youngest child of Elrond and Celebrían; her elder brothers were the twins Elladan and Elrohir. Through her father, she was the granddaughter of Eärendil the Mariner (the second of the Half-elves), great-granddaughter of Tuor of Gondolin, and therefore a direct descendant of the ancient House of Hador.
Legolas does not marry or have any children, based on the appendix of The Lord of the Rings. Regardless of who his mother was, Legolas is the last of his line. When he sails into the West at the beginning of the Fourth Age, he leaves no family members behind.
He died at the age of 210, after 122 years as king. The graves of the hobbits Merry and Pippin (who had died in Gondor 58 years earlier) were set beside his. He was succeeded on the throne by his son, Eldarion.
It is later mentioned that Tauriel is a talented warrior and was therefore made leader of the Mirkwood border guards. Legolas, the son of Mirkwood's Elven king Thranduil, is indicated to be attracted to her, but as she is a lowly Silvan Elf, she does not believe herself worthy of him.
Arwen Undómiel, often called Arwen Evenstar, was one of the half-elven, married to Aragorn II. She was the daughter of Elrond and Celebrían. She was considered to be the fairest of the Children of Ilúvatar in the Third Age, resembling Lúthien of the First Age who would never again appear in Ëa.
Why did Aragorn live so long? Aragorn is not half Elf, although he is a descendant of Elros, who is half Elf (and the brother of Elrond, the half-Elf who raised him), which explains why Aragorn's life span is unusually long.
A recent post got me thinking about Aragorn and Arwen's children. He has one son, Eldarion, who takes over the United Kingdom once he passes on. And they have two unnamed daughters. I find it strange that JRR left them unnamed.
In the year 121 of the Fourth Age, after Aragorn's death, Arwen died of a broken heart at Cerin Amroth in Lórien, and was buried there one year after the death of Aragorn, to whom she had been wedded for 122 years. She was 2901 years old.
Legolas was portrayed by Orlando Bloom. In the "official movie guide" for The Lord of the Rings, a birthdate for Legolas is set to 87 of the Third Age. This would make him 2931 years old at the time of the War of the Ring. This date for Legolas' birth was made up by the movie writers.
Aragorn's mother, Gilraen, was one of the Dúnedain - the line of Men descended from Aranath, the last king of Arnor. Her father was Dírhael, and he was good friends with Ardor, the Dúnedain Chieftain and Aragorn's grandfather.
In one of the texts in The Nature of Middle-Earth, Tolkien writes that Eldarion would have lived 120 years, and that his descendants would have lived longish life spans for normal humans (about 80–85 years) but not more than that.
Legolas and Gimli's relationship is strong in The Lord of the Rings, even though it wasn't explicitly romantic in Tolkien's source material. The members of the Fellowship in The Lord of the Rings forge an unbreakable bond while on their mission to destroy the One Ring.
Arwen. Galadriel's granddaughter and the daughter of Celebrían and Elrond. After the War of the Ring, Arwen marries Aragorn II Elessar and becomes Queen of the Reunited Kingdom of Arnor and Gondor. Like other Half-Elves, Arwen has the birthright to choose either immortality among the Elves or mortality among Men.
The Lord of the Rings films showed Arwen (Liv Tyler) dying due to her connection to the One Ring. The closer Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) and Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin) get to Mount Doom, the closer she gets to death.
In terms of genealogy, Elros would be Aragorn's great grandfather with about 60 "greats." This makes Elrond Aragorn's great, great, etc. uncle, and since Arwen is the Lord of Rivendell's daughter, she and Aragorn are first cousins many times removed.
