Eöl, always called the "Dark Elf", was an Elf of Beleriand and metallurgist of high skill. One of the Sindar, he lived alone in Nan Elmoth, nominally part of Doriath.
Eöl, known as the Dark Elf, was the great smith who dwelled within Nan Elmoth. He was akin to Thingol of the Teleri of the First Age. His face was noble yet grim, "and his eyes could see deep into shadows and dark places", being night-sighted. Eöl built up a friendship with the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains.
Adar was created for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and as such is non-canonical. He was portrayed by Joseph Mawle in the series' first season; after Mawle stepped away from the role, Sam Hazeldine was recast as Adar.

Feanor and his sons all did evil deeds, some more eagerly than others. There's Saeros, the elf who harassed and ambushed Turin in Doriath. Not just Eol but his son, Maeglin. Maeglin was actually much worse than Eol, for he betrayed the location of Gondolin to Morgoth.
When Halbrand and Galadriel captured Adar, Adar seemed not to recognize Halbrand as Sauron. Adar also claimed to have killed Sauron after watching Sauron experiment on the orcs, whom Adar sees as his children. It's possible Adar was pretending not to recognize Sauron as part of a ruse.
Adar is an elf who was manipulated with evil magic. He served under Morgoth and claims that he killed Sauron. He does not seem to recognize Halbrand as Sauron, and yet he carries out what we can assume is his master's evil bidding by setting in motion the events that burn the Southlands and create Mordor.
And the Teleri elves have silver or dark. Elves from both the Noldor and Teleri lines still reside in Middle-earth. From there, fans have to follow Tolkien's intricate linages, but simply put, as a Sindarin Elf, Legolas is a descendant of the Telerian elves.
The Dunmer are the descendants of the Chimer, who were punished by the Daedric goddess Azura for the betrayal of their General, Indoril Nerevar. Azura's punishment was to turn the color of all the Chimer race's skin to ash-gray and their eyes to ruby red."
There are three Elven Rings: Vilya, Nenya, and Narya. They were the Rings crafted be the great smith, Celebrimbor, using the knowledge given to him by Sauron, though the Dark Lord never touched them.
Thus, Galadriel's dark form in Jackson's The Lord of the Rings personified what would have occurred had the Lady of Lothlorien given in to temptation and taken the One Ring for herself. She would have succumbed to evil because the Ring was indomitable, even with her power.
The Dark Elves were defeated and nearly exterminated by the Asgardian army under King Bor, with Malekith and several dozen other warriors going into hibernation for 5,000 years until the next Convergence.
Dark Elves began as a race that split from the over-all Elven civilization, causing the original schism in Elven races. They were small tribes or clans and slowly grew into their own empire, developing a matriarchal society that they passed on to the Drow. They also were worshipers of the Moons.
Because of his age, Adar would have had a prominent place in Morgoth's army, but he was still subservient to Sauron. So, when Sauron took over, Adar became his servant until Sauron started to experiment on Orcs. Because they were his children, Adar rebelled, and to his knowledge, they killed Sauron.
Adar revealed his entire story to Galadriel, and what he told her will change her mission in the Second Age. Adar is an original Orc, and he served Morgoth and Sauron. His life has been one of darkness, but his attack on the Southlands is a desperate attempt to create a home for his offspring.
One thing episode 6 of The Rings of Power completely puts to rest is the theory that Adar could be Sauron. Adar certainly knew Sauron, but he wasn't a fan. He tells Galadriel that in his quest to master Middle-earth, Sauron sacrificed many of Adar's children. Because of this, Adar killed Sauron.
Melkor is the most powerful of the Valar but he turns to darkness and is renamed Morgoth, the primary antagonist of Arda. All evil in the world of Middle-earth ultimately stems from him. One of the Maiar of Aulë betrays his kind and becomes Morgoth's principal lieutenant and successor, Sauron.
It was said that Morgoth hated and feared the House of Fingolfin most among the Houses of the sons of Finwë, especially Fingolfin's son Turgon, as it was prophesied that his doom would come from the House of Turgon.
Morgoth, the first to reign terror upon Middle-earth, was more powerful than Sauron and commanded an army of dragons and Balrogs. While both Morgoth and Sauron were cunning, Morgoth's rule and terror lasted longer and his corruption spread further, making him more formidable in the Lord of the Rings universe.
Elrond was wisest in lore, i.e. he was a well-read historian. Círdan saw farthest, i.e. had greater foreknowledge of the future. Not necessarily the same thing as wisdom. Galadriel was greatest, i.e. the most powerful, as her preservation of Lórien shows.
