Kate Bishop's mother Eleanor is one of the primary antagonists in Disney+'s Hawkeye, breaking and subverting a long-held pattern of villainous paternal figures in the MCU in favor of a new maternal threat.

So, in conclusion, when Hawkeye killed Banner in Civil War 2 using the arrows that Banner designed to kill him and by extension the Hulk permanently, it instead killed the Professor Hulk, causing the loss of his technical skills in technology, as well as Devil Hulk's hatred for Hawkeye.
In the comics, Hawkeye adopted the Ronin identity at one of the darkest times of his life. In the modernized Ultimate universe, just as in the MCU, the trigger was the death of his entire family.
