He goes back to Earth, where Jane Foster now wields Mjolnir. Jane's been battling Stage 4 cancer and her treatment isn't working. The astrophysicist realizes Mjolnir has healing qualities and heads to New Asguard, where she discovers she is worthy enough to become the Mighty Thor.

Thor: Love & Thunder marked the acting debut of India Rose Hemsworth as Love. The ten-year-old is Chris Hemsworth's own daughter, and she wasn't the only member of Hemsworth's family to appear in the Phase 4 film.
Love is the daughter of Gorr the God Butcher, whose death by starvation triggered her father's murderous crusade against all gods for forsaking them. She was ultimately resurrected by the cosmic entity Eternity in accordance with Gorr's wish, brought on by Thor's advice.
Thor: Love and Thunder might have been a divisive movie among fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but one of the best elements was the presence of India Rose Hemsworth, star Chris Hemsworth's actual daughter. In the film, India Rose Hemsworth plays Love, the daughter of the movie's main villain Gorr the God Butcher.

Why does Gorr's daughter have powers?
Love being born out of Eternity means she is bound to be one of the strongest beings in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with her small display just being a showcase. But her receiving these powers remains inexplicable. It can be explained as the Enigma Force might be what's responsible for the source of Love's powers.
Enraged at how the gods belittled his suffering, Gorr happened upon the All-Black the Necrosword. With his life entwined with the blade, Gorr embarked on a campaign of slaughter against the gods, while seeking Eternity to grant his wish to bring about their extinction.
Eternity's true power remains at such a level as to be nearly incomprehensible to humans. It may move wherever it wants, whenever, and in whatever capacity, as well as know all things, and when in contact with Infinity literally possesses power over all space and time.
Eternity is actually the embodiment of the Universe, along with his sister, Infinity. According to the comics, Eternity is a cosmic-level entity, but not a Celestial, as the Celestials are a specific type of cosmic being created by the First Firmament.
In Thor: Love and Thunder's ending, Love carried it into battle alongside Thor, who was once again wielding Mjolnir. The movie doesn't explain Thor's motivations for giving up Stormbreaker, but it makes sense that Chris Hemsworth simply wanted Love to have a powerful weapon to aid her in battle.
See, according to Marvel lore, Eternity is the Marvel Universe. It's an entity whose substance is made up of every living thing and every time and place in the Marvel 616 universe, and its physical form is simply an avatar it can manifest in order to interact with lesser beings, like Doctor Strange.
Wish-granting: Eternity was able to grant any wish a visitor to his realm asked. Resurrection: Eternity can bring back the dead. Power granting: Eternity can bestow portions of his power onto mortals, as he did with Love.
Eternity spawned multiple independent entities: Enmity, Empathy, Expediency, Eulogy, Epiphany, Entropy, Explosion and Gravitation, and Now, and Then. Quite the legacy! There was an Eon, but they were killed and replaced with another living concept called Epoch.
Though Jane Foster is dead, it's possible that she has a cameo in Thor 5. Valhalla was shown at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder (with Heimdall welcoming Jane), so if Thor dies, he may see her and other slain Asgardians.
This means that it's very likely that Jane Foster could return, creating hope that other characters in Valhalla could come back too. While not much is known about who is currently in Valhalla, Idris Elba made an appearance as Heimdall, who died during Avengers: Endgame, so it's possible he could return too.
After Gorr the God Butcher stole Stormbreaker, it was used to create a portal to reach Eternity. After Thor reclaimed Stormbreaker, Thor allowed Axl Heimdallson to use it to bring the Asgardian children back home. Weapon Summoning: When thrown, Stormbreaker returns to Thor's hand when he summons it.
Gorr arrived at the Gates of Eternity and used Stormbreaker to open the Bifrost Bridge allowing for him to get access to Eternity's Realm. Eternity was then approached by Gorr, who was about to make his wish, when he was stopped by Thor, who had arrived with Jane Foster.
It also involves that Eternity is somehow a future Tony Stark who managed to escape his earthly form and make himself immortal. I'm not sure how both Eternity and Kang the Conqueror are supposed to be Tony Stark, but it is what it is.
Collectively, a kin of the Celestials called the Aspirants, with the assistance of the First Firmament (the embodiment of the cosmos as created and explained by Marvel Comics), were able to subdue and confine Eternity to another dimension/universe (unclear if the Aspirants collectively, could have overpowered Eternity ...
The original Eternity was eventually killed by the combined effort of his son Entropy and Captain Marvel resulting in the destruction of the universe. They later came to regret their actions and recreated the universe, with Entropy becoming the new Eternity and stating that this was their life-cycle.
Combined with every Eternal's ability to manipulate cosmic energy and energy blasts, Ajak can defeat Thanos in a battle of durability and endurance. All Ajak has to do is exhaust Thanos of his energy, wait it out, and then give the final blow.
But once called out on his cowardice by Thor, he quietly admitted to being afraid of Gorr, as he wielded the Necrosword and was capable of killing all gods for good - but downplayed the threat in order to maintain his mighty image, as well as to not cause panic amongst his peers.
But when he reaches that cosmic being, he chooses to use his wish to resurrect his daughter right before he dies. Jane Foster promises Gorr with her own dying breath that Thor will take care of the child, and Thor, now heartbroken and alone, chooses to adopt the child.
"Gorr was right" has so many places it could and will go; anything else would lead straight back to The Mighty Thor. Me, I want more story. No it doesn't explain why a human would be worthy, it's the same thing as saying the environment would be better if there were no humans, which it would.
