Can Shang-Chi beat Kang?
However, in the MCU, Shang-Chi has more powers than just self-control. He has his own father's Ten Rings, and those can match Kang's weapons when it comes to pure power. With his access to these weapons, Shang-Chi vs. Kang could be a great battle.
The Mandarin has appeared in several forms of media. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley portrayed an imposter and actor of the character in Iron Man 3 (2013) respectively, and Tony Leung portrayed the "real" character Xu Wenwu in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).
Discovered by the Mandarin in China's “Valley of Spirits,” the Ten Rings of Power are actually the product of the dragon-like race Axonn-Karr (or Makluans) from the planet Maklu-IV. The Axonn-Karr utilized them mainly as the power source for their interstellar craft's engines.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has officially been confirmed for a sequel – not that we ever had any doubt. With a positive response from critics, the MCU Phase 4 movie has cemented itself as a key part of the future of Marvel.
Are the Ten Rings stronger than the Infinity Stones?
While the Ten Rings in the right hands possess massive potential, and their powers do sometimes seem to grow in order to fit the plot, the Infinity Stones still reign supreme.
There is no exact date for his birth, but according to Shang-Chi, Wenwu is likely thousands of years old. In the retelling of the legend of the Ten Rings by Shang-Chi's mother at the beginning of the movie, it is confirmed that the legend has been told for thousands of years.
In the film, Shang-Chi is forced to confront his past when his father Wenwu (Leung), the leader of the Ten Rings terrorist organization, draws Shang-Chi and his sister Xialing (Zhang) into a search for a mythical village.
Put simply, the Mad Titan has less to lose and seemingly more to gain, at least in his own mind. Having Wenwu during the battle in Avengers: Endgame would've been a real asset, but a solo duel would only end in Thanos conquering yet another beloved MCU character.
Notably, Shang-Chi's Wenwu is perhaps the only villainous father in the MCU to truly learn the error of his ways, ultimately sacrificing himself to save his son and empower him enough to correct the mistakes he had made.

(Shang-Chi's father is a different villain, Zheng Zu, essentially a reinterpreted Fu Manchu.) And in the comics, the Ten Rings were recovered by the Mandarin from an alien spaceship belonging to the dragon Fin Fang Foom. The Eternals, meanwhile, are hybrid alien beings who've lived secretly among humans for eons.
The Ten Rings had been in the possession of the MCU's true Mandarin (played by Tony Leung) for thousands of years, glowing blue as he wielded them as a conqueror. However, his son Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) inherited the rings in the film's final battle, leading to the change where they glowed yellow in response.
Because of his understanding of time travel, the theory states, Kang is fearful that Iron Man could take him down. It is possible that He Who Remains set up the flow of time in a way that Tony Stark died while fighting Thanos, giving Kang the opportunity time to invade.
Prior to his appearance in Quantumania, though, Majors made his MCU debut in the Season 1 finale of Loki, playing one (of many) variants of his villain Kang the Conqueror named He Who Remains.
While Kang may have killed numerous Avengers, his defeat at the hands of Ant-Man and the Wasp was due to his desperation, ego, and the damage to his suit, showcasing the MCU heroes' intelligence and resilience.
