Wan Shi Tong (Randall Duk Kim) Wan Shi Tong, a.k.a. the Spirit of Knowledge, appears in the form of a giant owl that towers over Aang and Team Avatar. Randall Duk Kim now voices the spirit in the live-action series.
Wan Shi Tong's normal form as a barn owl is reminiscent of his spirit status. Barn owls, because of their pure white faces and black eyes, are often called "ghost", "demon", or "death owls". Like an owl, he has the ability to turn his head almost completely around.

Kitsune was a Fox Spirit with powers over winter. She could use a spiritual form of waterbending as a Spirit related to the Ocean and Moon. Kitsune could also shape-shift between a large white and blue fox with three tails and a pale human woman.
