In Aladdin (2019) in the scene where Genie tells Aladdin, "I can just make you a prince," the prince you see in the background is actually the film's choreographer, Jamal Sims.
After seeing Genie's potential, Aladdin wishes to become a prince in the hopes that he can be with Princess Jasmine. Genie transforms him into Prince Ali, and parade to The Sultan's Palace, where the Sultan welcomes him.

Does Genie become human?
Jasmine, Dalia, and the Sultan are freed from Jafar's magic. The Genie encourages Aladdin to use his third wish to regain his royal title and legally marry Jasmine. Aladdin instead keeps his promise and frees the Genie by using his last wish, allowing him to live as a human.
HOWEVER in the third Aladdin movie "Aladdin and the King of Thieves" we find out that Cassim—the KING of Thieves—is in fact Aladdin's father. When Aladdin wishes to become a prince Genie zaps him and unbeknownst to Genie or Aladdin in that moment circumstances happen to make Cassim the King of Thieves.
Aladdin retorts by declaring Jafar is still just "second-best" to the Genie, as the genie gave Jafar his power in the first place and can also take it away. Realizing that what Aladdin says is true, Jafar uses his final wish to become an all-powerful genie himself.

When his pet parrot Iago suggests an alternative plan, Jafar decides to use the hypnotic powers of his cobra-headed staff to manipulate the Sultan into mandating a marriage between himself and Jasmine. This plan also instigates Jafar's limerence towards Jasmine and thus he genuinely wants to have her as his bride.
The Sultan wants to marry off Jasmine to appease the law (which he later points out is actually dictated by him) and Jafar wants to marry Jasmine for the status it would give him. Aladdin is quite happy to weigh in on this by masquerading as a prince in order to win her hand.
Galland's tale isn't even set in the Middle East - it's actually set in a Chinese city, and Aladdin is not an orphan but a poor Chinese boy living with his mother, with the only other location mentioned in the story being Maghreb, North Africa, where the sorcerer is from.
