This alliance ended with a botched assassination attempt on the Kingpin and Richard coming face to face with his mother, Vanessa Fisk, only to have her shoot him dead, eliminating him as a threat forever.
He tells Maya that her boss—who we find out later is Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio)—wanted her father dead; this convinces her to leave him and his family alone. Toward the end of the last episode, Maya and Fisk are together in an alley, and she shoots him, leaving him for dead.
The Punisher responds by shooting two Desert Eagle pistols at the Kingpin, which only infuriates him. The Punisher kills the Kingpin by shooting him in the throat, and his body collapses on top of Castle, where he is found and arrested by NYPD officers.
This led to Owlsley attempting to poison Vanessa with tainted champagne at a Fisk fundraiser. When Fisk discovered that it was Owlsley, and not the Hand or Gao, who tried to take what was most precious from him, he threw him down an elevator shaft.
Fisk had manipulated FBI agents and forced them to work for him, however, with Ray Nadeem's help, Daredevil managed to take down Fisk and return him behind bars.

Fisk soon realized that Page killed Wesley, which Page confirmed, brutally saying she shot him seven times and should have shot more but the clip ran out. Fisk then stood up in anger with all the intention to kill her, something that Page counted on to at least make Fisk pay for that.
Matt Murdock went to the Department along with Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. With Murdock and Nelson at his side, Hoffman began his testimony to all the people part of Fisk's operation. With the FBI having a list of nearly all of Fisk's employees involved in criminal activity, they performed a mass arrest.
William Lopez was a commander of the Tracksuit Mafia, the brother of Henry Lopez and the father of Maya Lopez. When Taloa Lopez died, William was disowned by his family and moved to New York. He was then murdered by Ronin acting on a tip from Kingpin.
Vanessa falls in love with Wilson Fisk, the crime boss of New York City, and they have a son together, Richard. While she is loyal to her family, she will also take vengeance upon them should they ever betray her.
Bullseye, seeking to regain his position as the Kingpin's chief assassin, ambushed Elektra. After a brutal fight, Bullseye impaled Elektra on one of her own sais. Mortally wounded, Elektra crawled to Matt's apartment and died in her former lover's arms.
Most of Fisk's bulk is actually muscle, not fat; his enormous size is comparable to that of a sumo wrestler. Wilson Fisk is learned in several types of hand-to-hand combat, and uses his enormous bulk as a means of defense as much as attack.
As a child, Echo was raised by her father, William, who led the Tracksuit Mafia before her. However, at some point during the Blip, Echo's father is assassinated by Clint Barton - who was operating as the murderous vigilante Ronin.
Even after Hawkeye, most people don't know Kingpin wears bulletproof armored suits, but it's this hidden form of protection that has kept Wilson Fisk alive as established by Daredevil.
Echo concludes with a showdown between Maya and her surrogate father, Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), and instead of avenging her biological father's (Zahn McClarnon) murder, she used her powers to access the treacherous crime lord's mind in hopes of healing the childhood trauma that made him who he is today ...
The main character, Matt Murdock (Daredevil), became blind after an incident involving a chemical spill when he was a child. The accident gave him superhuman senses and the ability to navigate the world in a different way.
One night, Karen took Urich to go see Fisk's mother at a senior care facility, where she was suffering with dimentia. She told them that Fisk killed his father, which Karen hoped would help take down Fisk. James Wesley was informed by Fisk's mother that Karen visited her, and found Page and kidnapped her.
In the episodes "Tablet of Time" and "Ravages of Time", she is one of the few characters aware of Wilson Fisk's criminal empire. Eventually, Vanessa decides to divorce Wilson and leaves for good, unable to deal with being married to a criminal.
However, Kingpin was consumed by crime and refused to stop. After being kidnapped by Tombstone for the Kingpin's archenemy Silvermane, Vanessa eventually becomes fed up with the fact that crime had taken over Wilson's life, and leaves him, presumably divorcing him.
At the end of the series, Sami finds out that Rambo, a thief who was in the park at the time of Joe's death, saw Maya shoot Joe. Maya had killed Joe after finding out the truth about Claire's death. She told her husband to meet her at their spot in the park, pressed him about what he did, then shot him.
How did Maya find out Joe killed Claire? Maya had discovered the bullet which took the life of sister Claire (Natalie Anderson) had come from the same gun only she and her husband had access to. And after confronting him in the park, she learned Joe would quite happily kill his own wife in cold blood, as well.
As in comic books, Clint's grief and trauma led him to leave behind his Hawkeye identity to become Ronin, though in the MCU this is due to the loss of his family as a result of Thanos' Snap.
The Assassination of Bill Fisk was Wilson Fisk's retaliation against his father following another fight between his parents, Bill and Marlene Fisk. When Bill began beating his wife, Wilson stepped in and smashed his father's head in with a hammer, killing him.
Maya Lopez is a deaf member of the Choctaw tribe who moved out of her hometown as a child with her father William Lopez, and became the protegée of Wilson Fisk, growing up under his care. Losing her father due to Ronin's hunt for criminals, Lopez became the Tracksuit Mafia's commander, vowing revenge on Ronin.
