In the book, Wovey is killed after drinking a bottle of water Lucy Gray had spiked with rat poison, while Dill dies from tuberculosis. In the film, it was Dill who drank the poisoned water, while Wovey died in a heartbreaking moment from the snake muttations Dr. Gaul had set loose in the arena.
How did Wovey die in the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie?
Wovey, who is played by an actor with Down Syndrome, is one example of that tragedy as she is brutally killed by a storm of snakes. This is different from her fate in the book, in which she dies drinking poisoned water contaminated by Lucy Gray.

Is Katniss related to Lucy Gray?
Katniss and Lucy Gray are not related beyond their shared District 12 and loving hearts. Fan speculation that the two are related is tantalizing, especially following Lucy Gray's love affair with young Snow. "I've heard that fan theory often. But it's not true," says director Francis Lawrence.
Snow is revealed to have been heavily influenced by the nihilistic and misanthropic ideologies of Dr. Gaul. He has no qualms about hurting or killing those he perceives as threats to his power, and is mentioned to have used poison on his political opponents.
Presumably, he's executed alongside the other former elites, but a definitive answer remains unknown. However, Caesar's page on the franchise's wiki mentions an interview with creator Suzanne Collins, claiming that the character survived the events of Mockingjay.
Does Lucy Gray survive? In the book and the movie, Lucy Gray's fate is never confirmed. It's possible that she could have been wounded or even killed by a bullet, considering Coriolanus's frantic firing at the last location she had presumably been at.
At the end of the Hunger Games books, Effie is noted to be one of the last surviving escorts from the Hunger Games. Her peers, as well as the Hunger Games stylists and mentors, had been killed either by the Capitol because of suspicion of treason or by President Coin's new regime.

Unfortunately, this brand of edible theft wasn't quite as ingenious as she had thought, with Foxface dying after consuming them. The berries were, in fact, nightlock, which is poisonous, killing the girl after she ate them.
Snow begins to make Katniss believe that District 13 dropped the bombs that killed her younger sister Prim. A public execution for Snow is held, where Katniss is to kill him with a bow and arrow. Instead, she shoots rebellion leader Alma Coin, leading Snow to laugh uncontrollably and die from coughing up blood.
She is only told that Tigris used to be a stylist for the Hunger Games, like Cinna, and that Snow fired her himself. Over the years, possibly to deal with the pain caused by her cousin's sadistic rise to power, Tigris tattooed and surgically altered her appearance so much that she looked more feline than human.
In the books, we learn that Tigris became one of the stylists for the tributes of the Games and over the years, she began getting surgical enhancements to make her look more like a tiger, such as flattening her nose and getting tattoos. Because of this, Coriolanus fires Tigris.
Both the book and movie leave Lucy Gray's ending quite ambiguous. Dean of the Academy Casca Highbottom (Peter Dinklage) underscores that point to Snow in the final moments of the film, confirming that she's simply vanished without a trace. Dr. Gaul even wipes all the video footage of Lucy Gray's games.

Tigris may have chosen to have her surgeries to prevent Snow from seeing her as desirable, potentially to stop him from exploiting her. Katniss assumed Tigris' transformation was voluntary, but it's more likely that Snow was responsible for her surgeries, leading to her hatred of him in The Hunger Games.
According to a fan theory on Reddit, it's possible that during Lucy Gray and Snow's brief romance in District 12, Lucy Gray got pregnant, and the baby was Katniss' father, making Snow her grandfather and Lucy Gray her grandmother.
Snow can't stand to see a young woman betray a young man's affection—his view of what happened 65 years ago. And so he takes out his old, festering wound on Katniss.
