This was a relief for Lupin. After the war, Teddy was raised by Tonks' mother, Andromeda, but had a close relationship with his godfather, Harry. He was sorted into Hufflepuff and became Head Boy at Hogwarts.
Teddy was thus brought up by his maternal grandmother Andromeda Tonks and saw a lot of the Potter and Weasley families, visiting at least four times a week for dinner.
By the time Harry would be psychologically and emotionally ready for a child, Teddy would already be used to living with his grandmother. Taking Teddy away from Andromeda would not be good for him. Teddy already had a loving grandmother to raise him. There was no need for Harry to adopt him.
Early life (1960–1971) Remus was born on 10 March 1960 to Lyall and Hope Lupin. His father worked at the Ministry of Magic and encountered the werewolf Fenrir Greyback, who was being questioned for killing two Muggle children.
After deciding to walk ahead on the beach in order to explore the Hollow Needle, a rock formation made famous in a Lupin story, Raoul is kidnapped by Léonard and driven away from the beach and his parents, who eventually realize to their horror that he is missing and begin a fruitless search for him.

Is Tonks pregnant when she died?
In the EXCELLENT James Potter book series, by G. Norman Lippert, Tonks had already given birth to a boy before being killed in the Battle of Hogwarts. (The James Potter in the Lippert series is Harry Potter's son).
Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw. She had no friends, and was bullied relentlessly because of her glasses and acne. But she would soon have all of eternity to get her own back.
The wedding of Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks took place in July of 1997, during the height of the Second Wizarding War. It was kept private as the Ministry of Magic had passed legislation that was not favourable to werewolves. One result of this union came in the form of the couple's only child, Teddy Lupin.
It wasn't long before it became clear that Victoire ('Our Victoire! Our cousin! ') must be one of Bill and Fleur's children. This was later confirmed by J.K. Rowling, and that Victoire was one of three siblings, the others being Dominique and Louis Weasley.
As you can read, in Nymphadora, there is also the word Nymph, which in the Wizarding World, are small magical creatures who were also used as Christmas decorations (who even sang) in Beauxbatons. Nymphs were usually flirtatious, allowing Tonks to “hate” her name a bit.
Until the climax of Prisoner of Azkaban, Lupin believed Sirius Black was guilty of murdering 12 Muggles, betraying Lily and James Potter, and killing Peter Pettigrew. He eventually discovered the truth — that Sirius was innocent, and the very much alive Peter was the traitor.
He feels that he is toxic to others by sheer presence alone. He doesn't regret marrying Tonks because he doesn't love her, he regrets marrying Tonks because he thinks that in doing so he has permanently scarred her, hurt her. His arguments for not being in a relationship with her are not personality based.
That means that they probably got married when they were around 19 or 20, only a couple of years out of Hogwarts. They aren't the only couple in the wizarding world to get married at such a young age. Fleur Delacour is at most 21 when she marries Bill Weasley, who is a bit older, at 26.
Sirius was only 36 years old when he tragically died at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange. Since most of the adult Harry Potter actors were older than their characters, the age changes in the films helped hide just how young Sirius actually was.
Harry Potter had a few love interests during his time at Hogwarts. Though he eventually settled down with Ginny Weasley, he also had a thing for Cho Chang in his earlier school years. Then, of course, there's his secret love for Draco Malfoy… Wait, what?
Luna married fellow naturalist Rolf Scamander, grandson of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them author Newt Scamander, considerably later in life than Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny, who all married and started families in their early-to-mid twenties.
In the books, Pansy Parkinson has a schoolgirl crush on Draco, and they went together to the Yule Ball. However, there was no true love between them. In the Cursed Child, Draco Malfoy's wife is Astoria Greengrass.
On 2 May 1998, Tonks fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and was finally murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange, her maternal aunt and a Death Eater, a devoted servant of Lord Voldemort. Her murder was avenged by her order colleague and friend Molly Weasley.
While it is unknown exactly which curse Dolohov used, he fired the spell that murdered Remus Lupin. There has been debate over the years on whether Dolohov used the Killing Curse or some equally horrifying curse of his own design. Either way, he caught Lupin off guard, and his life was forfeit.
Tonks suffers from depression during the Half-Blood Prince. Not just because Lord Voldemort is fully back causing havoc around the world, but because Remus Lupin spurns her affections.
