With Tron dying, Beck found a way to rescue him on Cutler's super recognizer, in order to restore Tron back to full strength so he could fight again. The bigger uprising starts after this but unknown to Beck, Clu 2 is on his way with Dyson and a huge armada.
Kevin Flynn had long presumed that CLU derezzed Tron. However, it turns out that Tron was (at some point after Uprising) actually reprogrammed to serve him as Rinzler, with the familiar "T" insignia on his suit hinting at his true identity.
Tron, seriously injured and barely capable of speech, was shackled in the recognizer that was to transport him, but Cyrus released him and bailed out with him while the recognizer was left to crash. He dragged Tron to safety, encouraging him to take heart and telling him he'd be all right.

While Paige was helping Beck make a raft to get the off of the island, the destabilized ground disintegrated under her, causing her to fall into the sea. Beck ran to get the raft so he could save her, leaving Paige to assume that the Renegade had abandoned her there to die.
Quorra ultimately had her wish granted when she accompanied Sam on his journey back to the real world, apparently becoming a flesh-and-blood human in the process, and happily set off with Sam as he showed her the first sunrise she had ever seen.
Terminal is the 19th episode of TRON: Uprising, and the last of the show's first season. In this episode, Tron tells Beck that he is dying and finds out that the only way to stop his illness is to use the Occupation's new super recognizer.
TRON: Legacy received mixed critical reviews and wasn't as commercially successful as Disney had hoped, explaining why it took so long for a sequel to be made.
Clu and Rinzler scuffled briefly as they fell, but Clu grappled Rinzler's spare baton away, created a new Light Jet for himself, and left Rinzler to plummet into the Sea of Simulation below. Rinzler's circuitry flickered and died after he plunged into the sea.
While it may not be as soon as fans may have wished, Tron: Ares has finally established a release date after years of development hell. The legacy sequel has been in various stages of production for nearly 15 years, and the threequel is now slated to premiere on October 10, 2025.
