In this episode, Ezra Bridger (voiced by Taylor Gray) travels to the desert planet of Tatooine to find Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi (voiced by Stephen Stanton), who he believes is being hunted by Maul (voiced by Sam Witwer). Maul eventually finds Kenobi, and the two face off in a lightsaber duel.
While James Arnold Taylor previously performed Obi-Wan Kenobi's voice in the style of actor Ewan McGregor in Rebels and previously in The Clone Wars (2008-2020), Stephen Stanton takes over the role in the style of the original Ben Kenobi, Sir Alec Guinness.

After nightfall, Ezra awoke to find himself and Chopper in the company of Master Kenobi. Ezra conversed with Kenobi, who revealed that Maul had used the holocrons to lure him to Tatooine. After some discussion, Kenobi reassured Ezra that the Jedi Master was able to handle Maul on his own.
"Is it the Chosen One?" Maul asked. "He is," Kenobi replied. Maul looked up, the life fading from his eyes, and uttered his last words. "He will avenge us."
