FROZEN is an original story, loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen's “The Snow Queen.” Published in 1845, “The Snow Queen” begins when a magic mirror created by trolls shatters, causing pieces of it to lodge in the heart and eye of a boy named Kai.
For instance, the core of the original fairy tale sees us following Gerda as she's traveling about trying to find her lost friend, who was lured away by the Snow Queen, where as the movie sees us following Gerda's counterpart, Anna, as she travels about trying to find her sister, Elsa (the Snow Queen).
