Instead of Laurie Strode revealing Michael Myers's face in Halloween Kills, the act was performed by her daughter, Karen Nelson, towards the end of the film. She did so to protect her own daughter, Allyson, from being killed by Michael.
In the original Halloween, the adult Michael Myers, referred to as The Shape in the closing credits, was portrayed by Nick Castle for most of the film and substituted by Tony Moran in the final scene where Michael's face is revealed.

How was Michael Myers finally killed?
HOW DOES MICHAEL MYERS DIE IN HALLOWEEN ENDS? Michael and Laurie face off in Laurie's kitchen. Eventually, Laurie gets Michael pinned to the kitchen island, with a knife stuck through each of his hands. She pulls out a knife and slits his throat.
This psychic link shows how both endured trauma their whole lives, allowing Michael's essence to corrupt Corey. The young man leaves, becoming a darker, rage-filled person who wants revenge against all who've hurt him.
For instance, The Cult of Thorn storyline from the original movie track implies that Michael Myers isn't human. At six years old, he became a pawn, and with the first sacrifice of Judith, his soul got infected by the murderous being worshiped by the cult. As such, he might not be able to communicate like a human does.

Why did Michael Myers take off his mask for Jamie?
Towards the end, Loomis lures Michael into a trap at the old Myers house, using Jamie as bait. Michael finds Jamie, who tries to appeal to his humanity. At her request, he takes off his mask, but is sent into a fit of rage when Jamie touches his face.

As a child, Michael was admitted into a psychiatric hospital for the murder of his older sister, Judith Myers. After 15 years of captivity, Myers broke out of the asylum and started his killing spree, with the intention to murder his remaining family relatives and anyone who would get in his way.
As revealed in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, a group of druids belonging to Halloween's Cult of Thorn placed a curse on Michael when he was an infant. Either way, the evil in Michael "transfers" itself to Corey, its power waking up the buried hate inside him. A bond has been formed, and Michael does something he has never done before. He releases Corey and lets him live.
Corey stabs himself in the neck to frame Laurie for his death, which Allyson initially falls for. But, when Michael enters the Strode house, Corey appears to revive. It's short-lived, though, because the Shape swiftly snaps Corey's neck. After that, we don't see him again, so we can safely assume he's dead for good.
After becoming a town pariah due to a tragic accident, Corey transforms into a Michael copycat. Myers himself acts as a mentor to Corey, but the latter eventually goes on a killing spree posing as The Shape. In the finale, Michael returns to retrieve his mask, and viciously kills Corey for his betrayal.
Michael however is not without his fears as it indicated that he wears his mask to hide his face and emotions due to the fact Michael's face is seen to be normal looking and rather handsome, and since one of the sources of Michael's power is through the fear he inflicts on others, Michael could be afraid of losing that ...
When she approached to remove his mask, Michael seized her, causing the added weight to break the rope and send both siblings tumbling off the roof. Michael then drove his knife through Laurie's back. As she hung dying, Laurie kissed Michael's mask and promised he would see her in hell.
Different actors played unmasked Michael in subsequent films. The most recent film, Halloween Ends, provided a rare glimpse of Michael's face, showing severe scars and an older appearance, but the view was limited and left viewers uncertain about his true fate.
