Palpatine. Palpatine was grooming Anakin for over a decade to become his newest Sith apprentice. Not only could Palpatine identify the uncertainty and darkness that resided within Anakin, but he actively used it to turn him toward the dark side.
Anakin fell to the dark side for four reasons, each of which, at least to him, made sense. First off, he didn't want to lose Padme. Second off, he wanted more power. Third off, he felt like the Jedi council was corrupt and power-hungry.
Once the heroic Jedi Knight named Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader was seduced by the dark side of the Force. Forever scarred by his defeat on Mustafar, Vader was transformed into a cybernetically-enhanced Sith Lord.
From the perspective of the Jedi masters, he was a risk because he was already 9 years old and had been given the time to develop attachments, to his mother in particular. Yoda expresses this concern aloud, telling Anakin that his feelings regarding his mother could lead to the dark side of the Force.
It mostly stemmed from Anakin's feeling that he was shown disrespect by the Jedi High Council when it wouldn't promote or trust him as much as he believed they should. This condescension is something Anakin often voiced to Padme Amidala, who would often offer him consolation.

Why was Anakin OK with killing Younglings?
Summary. Anakin Skywalker's murder of the younglings was fueled by his grief, self-loathing, and desire to save Padmé. Converting the younglings to the Dark Side was not an option because their loyalty to the Empire could not be guaranteed.
Darth Vader did not 'forget' he was Anakin. He believed he was not Anakin Skywalker; a completely different person whom he killed. You will read in EU materials, that he referred to his memories as Anakin, as 'The Jedi'. He suppressed most of Anakin Skywalker's memories - his memories while he was Anakin.
He chose evil to achieve what he thought was the ultimate good. , this led to Padme's death. He choke the one he wanted to save with his own hands. When we turn a good thing into the ultimate thing and try to get it at all costs, we lose that good thing — destroy it with our own hands.
Ultimately showing the darker side of Anakin's love, his passionate nature leads him to care for Padme with all of his heart, far in excess of anything else in his life.
Instead, the theory suggests that Padmé died because Palpatine killed her. By taking a closer look at how Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader is intercut with Padmé's death, a clearer picture emerges of how Padmé's death was more likely a planned-out murder as opposed to an accidental tragedy.
When Padme confronted her husband on Mustafar, Anakin choked her to unconsciousness out of anger. While the act alone didn't kill her, Anakin's turn to the dark side was too much to bear. Holding on long enough to give birth to her children, Padme eventually passed away, having lost the will to live.
Even though Luke tried his best to protect him, Anakin accepted his fate and expressed his love for his son and daughter, Leia, whom he learned about before dying. While it seemed like Anakin had lived a long life, his choices eventually led to his demise at 45.
During the battle, Anakin, who had been known as the Sith Lord Darth Vader, was redeemed by Luke and brought balance to the Force. However, the redemption cost Anakin his life, having been mortally wounded by the Emperor, Darth Sidious, while killing his former Master.
He only wanted to care for his friends and family, and his need to keep Padme alive drove him. Anakin even joined Palpatine and betrayed the Jedi to prevent her from dying during childbirth.
Manipulated into believing that the Jedi had failed him and coupled with his fear of losing Amidala in childbirth, Skywalker betrayed and turned against the Jedi Order, believing Sidious had the knowledge to cheat death.
However, had Anakin made a different choice that day, he could have saved the galaxy from Sidious once and for all. Had Anakin foiled Palpatine's plot to take over the galaxy by helping his fellow Jedi arrest or kill the Sith Lord, the Clone Wars would have come to a quick and more peaceful end.

By the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Luke had accepted that Vader is his father, and his hatred toward his father had completely disappeared, transformed into love and hope, like his late mother, Padmé Amidala, Luke believed there was still good left in Anakin and that he could be redeemed.
The marriage, witnessed by the droids C-3PO and R2-D2, was kept secret due to Amidala's place as a prominent Senator in the Galactic Republic and because of Skywalker's membership in the Jedi Order; the Jedi Code prevented Jedi from falling in love and forming attachments such as marriage.
The only way forwards was to become a true follower of the Dark Side, and give up being the man he once was. Actually when he found out Padme died, he started releasing a pressure and was destroying the room. He accidentally sent Palpatine flying, which made him angry, so he hit Vader with force lightning.
Darth Vader didn't learn he had a daughter until Return of the Jedi, when he stood before Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor's power probed Luke's mind, attempting to goad him to fall to the dark side, and he discovered Leia's existence. "Sister," the Emperor taunted.
R2-D2 was present when Padmé gave birth to Leia and Luke, so he knew Luke was Anakin's son – but what he didn't know was that Anakin became Darth Vader. In addition to that, Anakin's fall was surely a painful event in R2-D2's life, one that he definitely wouldn't like to remember or even talk about.
Yoda. Yoda's knowledge of Luke Skywalker's true parentage was also confirmed in Return of the Jedi. As with Obi-Wan, Yoda believed that Anakin's fall to the dark side made him unsalvageable, with the Darth Vader persona being his only identity following his ascension to Sith Lordship.
