Dewey is one of those characters who's always willing to put his life on the line for others, and the team felt it was a necessary sacrifice in order for the franchise to move forward.
To make the impact effective, the film needed to sacrifice its legacy character, who died in the line of duty facing Ghostface, which circles back to Dewey's role since 1996's Scream. Scream also showed that anyone could die to challenge the implications of the central characters being immortal to Ghostface.
Dewey was originally supposed to die after being stabbed in the back by Ghostface, but Wes Craven liked the character so much, that he decided to film a shot of Dewey being carried into an ambulance in case audiences also liked the character.
In a surprise twist in “Scream 5,” Dewey is done in by Ghostface. It takes place in a hospital after Dewey rescues the new protagonist, Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega). While Dewey has come close to death in the other movies, fans were shocked to see him finished off.
Dewey was stabbed in the hospital, so in theory, if Dewey had been moved to the emergency room, given a blood transfusion and surgery, there is a small chance that he might have survived.
However, Wes Craven and Scream audiences loved Arquette's Deputy Dewey so much that Craven shot a new ending where Dewey is carried out in an ambulance, very much alive. And thank God he did, because Dewey goes on to provide endlessly good material in the next movies to come.

While many of these instances truly could be coincidences, director Wes Craven revealed that Dewey was thought to be a possible third killer in the original Scream movie, thus proving his innocence doesn't fool everyone.
After being stabbed "nine times", and narrowly surviving four Ghostface massacres, Dewey is tragically killed in the 25th anniversary massacre after he and Gale are divorced. Sidney returns to avenge his death, alongside Gale.
Sadly, the involvement led to Dewey's tragic death at the hands of Amber Freeman, one of the two Ghostface killers. With Dewey and Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott not in Scream 6, the sequel relied on only one key original character: Courteney Cox's Gale Weathers.
Campbell hasn't ultimately said goodbye to Sidney and the Scream movies, so if the studio agrees to pay her fairly, it's likely she would return as a character for Scream 7. New characters might be at the center of the current Scream story, but Campbell will always be the face of the franchise.
While Dewey was killed off in the last movie, Campbell dropped out of Scream 6 due to a pay dispute. So the pressure is definitely on. Luckily Courteney Cox will still be back as Gale Weathers. David Arquette's feelings definitely track considering how long he's been associated with the Scream franchise.
Unfortunately for Scream franchise fans that may want to see Stu Macher make a comeback, Scream 6 has fairly definitively laid the theories to rest by confirming his death. There is a lingering shot in the film that shows Stu Macher's photo and confirms that he died in 1996.

That past involves the main character Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), and the original killer Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich). Here we'll go over the connection between the two. Sam is the illegitimate daughter of Billy Loomis. Sam's mother, Christina, was said to be dating Sam and Tara's father during high school.
Also of the 6 times Malcolm was would include Kicked Out when he tells Hal he's sick of his terrible parenting. Out of the 10 times Reese is kicked out, one had to do with his prank at the Meat Factory and how he refused to get a job in Secret Boyfriend.
Why was Lois written out of Malcolm in the Middle?
Lois would become pregnant towards the last half of the 4th season, but the earlier episodes needed a solution since the scripts were already written. Instead of using camera tricks, it was decided that Lois would need to be missing from some episodes during the middle part of Season 4.
Malcolm and possibly Dewey (but he has fewer problems communicating) have Asperger's syndrome, and it comes from Lois' side of the family. Reese and Dewey and Jamie have some sort of hyperactivity.
