Venom is a villain in Marvel's Spiderman. He also known as his host Eddie Brock. He hates Spiderman because he thinks he is the cause of all the bad luck in his life. Venom is bigger and stronger then Spiderman.
Eddie Brock is humiliated by Peter Parker after he reveals that Eddie sold Peter's photos as his own. After being fired, he goes to a church to pray for revenge. At the same place and time, Peter removes the symbiote from himself, and it bonds with Eddie.
He crushed Eddie like a bug because he could. It was due to the symbiote's malevolent influence but he still did it. In the comics, Peter inadvertently discovers the true identity of a murderer, which makes Eddie's story untrue. The Bugle had hyped Eddie's exclusive and when it blew up, they looked foolish.
More recently there was the canonical statement of Venom's that they love Eddie. Once the film was released fans were quick to create jokes about their relationship. Many comparing them to the demon possession vine, or how Venom became emotionally attached to Eddie. He got physically attached pretty quickly as well.
Brock is enveloped in a new white “Anti-Venom” symbiote when remnants of the Venom symbiote in his body merge with special antibodies (produced by his white blood cells) due to Li's Lightforce energy.
The 2003 story "The Hunger" introduced new elements to Brock's origin, revealing that Brock had cancer before joining with the symbiote, and that it chose to bond with Brock not only for his hatred towards Spider-Man, but also because the cancer causes the release of adrenaline, which feeds the symbiote.
This means that, while the Venom symbiote can heal Eddie's wounds, it can't stop him from aging. This is what ultimately does Eddie in. The symbiote, desperate to save Eddie, tries in vain to prolong his life, terrified of losing the being that it has been connected with for so long.
Anne commented on it was nice, only misinterpreted by Eddie about their kiss, but she clarified that it was about the power as Eddie suggested. Anne would also promise Eddie to not tell Dan about their mutual kiss.
Eddie suddenly knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man, as well as the names of everyone close to Peter, such as Peter's then-wife, Mary-Jane Watson. Naturally, he used this information against Peter, first stalking him and then going after Peter's loved ones.
Venom's symbiote has explained on many occasions that the Klyntar planet is practically devoid of emotions, yet over time he knows that he forms genuine love for Eddie. Venom bonds more with Eddie and experiences guilt, jealousy, and sadness over his other half.
The Venom symbiote's animosity toward Spider-Man stems from its initial bond with him. In the comics, Spider-Man rejected the symbiote when he realized it was trying to permanently bond with him, and he removed it. This rejection left the symbiote with a strong sense of betrayal and anger.
Venom Symbiote: When Spider-Man rejected the black symbiotic costume when he learned it was slowly corrupting him, Eddie Brock became the symbiote's next host and he used it to get revenge on Spider-Man for his ruined life.
The Marvel Universe can be a hard place to grow up—especially for kids like Dylan Brock, the son of Eddie Brock. Even though he didn't know his dad for the first half of his life, Dylan endured the horror and chaos of Eddie's adventures as Venom before he reached high school.
By eating Carnage, Venom is effectively returning his spawn back to his former "unborn" state within Venom's mass, not taking anything he didn't already have into his cells.
Basically, the symbiote didn't attempted to talk with Peter because it wanted to remain loyal and obedient like a servant. It didn't felt the need to talk to him, only to serve him.
The other Celestials then banished Knull, along with the severed Celestial head, deeper into space. After that, he started using the head's cosmic energies as a forge for the symbiotes, which is how they developed the weaknesses to sound and fire.
Venom came to empathize with Eddie's status as a "loser", eventually deciding to turn on its own kind and save the Earth from being invaded. The symbiote ultimately agreed to work alongside Eddie as a vigilante, to only hurt bad people despite its own confusion of how it can tell the difference of who is good or bad.
The history of the Earth-21619 Black Suit presumably mirrors that of its counterpart from Earth-616 up until it bonded to Spider-Man. Brought to Earth, it attempted to forge a stronger bond with him; and this, coupled with the stress Peter Parker was being subjected to, led to him becoming increasingly short-tempered.
Venom requires brains and chocolate to survive. Marvel's comics explain that Venom has a biological need for the two substances. In the comics, brains and chocolate are prime sources for phenethylamine, a compound that positively affects mood and that Venom needs to live.
In a flashback, it is revealed that she got pregnant with Eddie's child after bonding to Venom. After giving birth to their son Dylan, she left him in the care of Carl Brock, with the promise that she would return eventually. She instead committed suicide, after which Carl raised Dylan.
Anne Weying first met Eddie Brock while a law student at Empire State University, and fell in love with him after he falsely claimed to have saved her from a group of thugs. Anne and Eddie eventually married, and while he became a journalist for the Daily Globe she became a successful lawyer.
Anne Weying is very patient but is also a very focused woman, she was in a relationship with Eddie Brock and she loved him very much, but Anne knew when to break up with him once she realized he hadn't grown up yet and didn't take their relationship seriously.
As previously stated, the Venom symbiote (as well as a few others) has the ability to live independently from a host, in a humanoid form of his choosing.
Unlike other symbiotes, this symbiote is completely mindless and Eddie Brock is in full control of his actions. This symbiote was destroyed when it was used as a cure for the Spider-Virus.
Marvel Comics outright confirms that Eddie Brock will never be Venom again. The current Venom series has seen Eddie leave his symbiote to his son Dylan, after being stranded in time by his future self, the villain Meridius.
