Dark Beast became this person because there was no one around to stop him (Charles Xavier was dead). This is exactly what happened when Krakoa was founded. Without anyone to keep him in check, Hank McCoy of Earth-616 slowly became him. In a year, Hank McCoy could be a fully-fledged villain.

An original member of the X-Men, Hank McCoy, AKA Beast is one of the smartest characters in the Marvel Universe. Although the hero started out as a lighthearted and kind mutant, he has performed a series of morally questionable actions over the years, especially during the Krakoan Era.
Biography. While working at a nuclear power plant, Norton McCoy was exposed to massive amounts of radiation that affected his genes. As a result, Norton's son, Henry "Hank" McCoy, was born a mutant who showed the signs of his being different from birth with his unusually large hands and feet.

Why did the beast become a Beast?
Cursed by an enchantress because he has no love within his heart, a prince is transformed into a terrible beast. The fearful spell can only be broken when he truly learns to love - and can earn the love of another.
Disney's interpretation of the Beast made him more constantly angry and depressed, due to the shame from his unkind actions which led to his transformation, and particularly his struggle of reconciling his hideous appearance with his inner humanity which made him feel hopeless about breaking the curse.
His super strength and agility have served him pretty well over the years but he's just not strong enough to really do anything to the Hulk. His acrobatic fighting style would allow him to keep ahead of the Hulk for a time but it just wouldn't be enough.
Beast and Wolverine haven't been getting along lately. It probably has something to do with the fact that Beast killed Wolverine and resurrected him without his memories.

Quasimodo tried to drain Hank's life force, wanting to gain his healing factor. With Beast's metabolism, Quasimodo reasoned that he might become human. Beast was almost completely drained, an event that physically altered him once again. Hank's healing factor was gone, plus his fur changed color.
Not only did Beast choose to clone Wolverine in order to create a new army, but narration in Wolverine #32 (by Benjamin Percy, Juan Jose Ryp, and Frank D'Armata) gives readers Beast's inner monologue revealing his thoughts on his actions.
With little hesitation, Beast rips out and crushes his own eye to kill the last remaining Doll. Beast's willingness to harm another mutant and mutilate himself highlights how far he is willing to go to protect Krakoa.

The difference between Beta Mutants and Alpha Mutants is that the Beta Mutants have flaws, albeit very small flaws. The Beta mutants are also believed to be about 10% of the mutant population. Some examples of Beta mutants are Beast, Angel, Wolverine, Mystique and Sabretooth.
Beast is faster and more acrobatic usually shown as throwing his entire body weight by a fingertip or toe. No holding back Beast fighting Wolverine would be like a boxer fighting someone with a sword. Beast can heal well but it's not mutant healing factor like Wolverine, Deadpool (technicalities there), or Sabertooth.
Galactus. A creature that consumes entire planet systems is bound to be Marvel's most powerful monster. He was once a mortal man but his present form makes him a god-like figure that drains living planets off their energy.

The Avengers and Fantastic Four died to stop him. During that ultimate sacrifice, Hulk also died. Jean Grey shut down Bruce Banner's brain, turning Hulk into a savage. The two ended up separated, and Hulk ended up in an irradiated cocoon, one that killed Hulk completely, which led to a new Hulk being horn.

Cyclops' brother, Havok, is one of the few Marvel superheroes who can defeat the Hulk in a fair fight. Alex Summers aka Havok may not be as popular as his more famous brother, but he is easily one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe.
It's ok to get angry—it's an emotion we all experience—but when a person lashes out physically or verbally because of their anger that is abusive behavior. In the Beast's case, he tries to intimidate Belle into submission by threatening to withhold food.
Indeed, he treats Belle like a queen, "It is I who should knee and take orders from you," said Beast when Belle kneeled in front of him to let her go for a while. In fact, his good heart is what makes Belle fall in love for him and breaks the spell which he has been the victim.
He starts developing inner beauty, and she starts to fall for him. But then she learns that her father is in danger, and wishes to leave. This is a pivotal moment for the Beast: will he release her? He chooses to let her go.
