Rather than coming off like an entitled male, Perrault's prince reads as almost suppliant to the sleeping beauty. Even when she's asleep, he looks at her “trembling with wonder and admiration” and the resulting kiss feels more like a tribute to a higher being than a seizing of a helpless body (Perrault 89).
In the Grimms' “Briar Rose,” the original sleeping beauty, there is a suggestion of impulsive behavior on the Prince's part: “There she lay, looking so beautiful that he could not take his eyes off her. He bent down and gave her a kiss” (Ref. 2, p 105).
The Prince is devastated over Snow White's death as he approaches the coffin and gives her a kiss before mourning the loss of his love. However, the Prince's kiss turned out to be actually Love's First Kiss which revives Snow White, saving her life.
Many valiant princes tried to penetrate the thorny walls of the castle to wake her up. Alas, none of them succeeded, until... one day... a very steely, determined prince succeeded- and woke her with a kiss.
A king who happens across the estate wanders in and finds the princess's sleeping body, fails to wake her and then proceeds to rape her. And if that's not bad enough, the princess later gives birth to twins while still unconscious — one of whom sucks the splinter from her finger and wakes her up.

Prince Philip's true love's kiss is more creepy than romantic. He only outranks Prince Florian because he is four years older than Aurora's 16, which is next to nothing in comparison to Snow White and Prince Florian's 17 but still problematic, given that Aurora's a minor....
At the final scene when Snow White kisses the dwarfs, she kisses them all except for Sleepy. When Doc is assaying the (already cut) gemstones from the mine, he puts the jeweler's loupe into his eye backwards.
Yet, because only true love could break the evil spell, the kiss brought her back to life. To quote Morgan again, “The kiss breaks the spell and awakens her from her trance, and to the delight of the [seven] dwarves, they depart to live happily ever after in his castle.”
In movie and in folklore, Snow White and the Prince fall in love and get married (never mind that in the original tale, Snow is only 7 years old). In the movie, the seven dwarfs chase the Evil Queen into the forest, where she tumbles off a cliff—with a push from a convenient lightning strike—and falls to her death.
Aurora was 16 years old in Sleeping Beauty, and far too young to be cursed to sleep forever. Like many of Grimm's original fairy tales, which inspired the Disney versions, Aurora's story was originally much darker, especially when considering her age.
The Sleeping Beauty character had been put into an enchanted sleep by flax in her finger. Instead of waking from the prince's kiss, she wakes up when she gives birth to her twin children, and one of the babies gets the flax out of her finger. The prince later returns, and they get married.
Meanwhile, David Nusair of About.com attributes the film's failure with "the familiarity of its storyline, as the film boasts many of the elements contained within both of its predecessors – including the revelation that Princess Aurora can only be awakened from her deep slumber by a kiss from her one true love" ...
Who woke up after a long sleep when Prince kissed her?
His version of the story is the first to have Sleeping Beauty woken up by a kiss from her prince and the infamous spinning wheel that causes her to sleep one hundred years. It is far darker than the tale that is most known today, called Briar Rose, written by the Brothers Grimm.
In the original Grimm version of the story, the frog's spell was broken when the princess threw the frog against the wall, at which he transformed back into a prince, while in modern versions the transformation is triggered by the princess kissing the frog.

However, this rumor was proven untrue after a review of The Art of Walt Disney book which showed a definitive answer that Prince Florian being 31-ish years old, is fabricated.
