On December 20, Netflix removed Moana to make room for a new lineup of films for Christmas and New Year's Eve. While Moana is no longer available on Netflix, you are still able to enjoy the movie over the holidays. Amazon Prime offers Moana for purchase, and iTunes offers both a rental and a purchase option.
With Disney soon launching its own streaming service, Disney+, it's likely other Disney films or movies owned by the Walt Disney Company will be taken off of Netflix's service. But don't fret — the 2016 film is available for streaming at various other websites for the time being.
However, streaming Moana is no longer available on Netflix, and Disney+ is the only streaming service that broadcasts it. Disney+ has become the home of Walt Disney films. Many movies and TV shows are exclusively available on Disney Plus, including The Mandalorian and Frozen.

Release. Moana 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 27, 2024. A sneak peek at the film is set to screen at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 14, 2024.
