In "Hot to the Touch," Finn tries to convince Flame Princess that he really loves her, but she doesn't trust him because he hurt her a few times (put out her flames). At the end "Hot to the Touch," Flame Princess "realizes" Finn is Water Elemental and that's the only reason why he hurt her.
However, during the fight, Flame Princess destroys the Ice Kingdom and discovers that Finn set up the fight. Feeling betrayed, she breaks up with him. "Frost & Fire" was the last episode of the fifth season to have been storyboarded by Pearson, although he later returned to revise the storyboards for "Earth & Water".
She forgives Finn for what he did to her, allows him to visit any time, but declines his offer to rekindle their romantic relationship. In "Bun Bun", Finn genuinely apologizes for the way he treated Flame Princess, and the two once again become friends.
At the end of the same episode, she shows that she likes Finn, but thinks that they can't be together because they are opposite elementals, calling Finn "a water elemental" because of the tear that she felt from him. In "Burning Low," she seems to be calmer and able to handle a part of her flame being doused.
After she became her normal age again, Finn asked her out but she rejected him because he was too young for her. Finn and Princess Bubblegum's second kiss was in the episode "Wizard Battle" where Finn won the wizard battle by cheating and won the prize which was a kiss on the lips from Princess Bubblegum.

Did Flame Princess marry Cinnamon Bun?
It was confirmed that he and Flame Princess are not dating by Cartoon Network's official Twitter page and by the writers and his proclamation of love for her is that of deep respect and not romantic.
Eventually, Princess Bubblegum discovers that Finn and Flame Princess are together, which terribly worries her; Flame Princess's elemental matrix is unstable, and if Finn tries to kiss her, she might react so violently that she would burn a hole through the core of the planet.
In the Fire Kingdom, Don John the Flame Lord shows up to tell Flame Princess she is not brutish enough to rule over the Flame subjects. Her father, the Flame King, appears as his daughter is deprived of her body temperature and crown. He tells Flame Princess he has arranged her marriage with Don John.
In the same episode, Princess Bubblegum reveals she could never hold a grudge against Finn. In "To Cut a Woman's Hair," she says explicitly that she likes Finn, although she could have meant platonically or maternally.
There is a possibility that Shermy is one of Finn's future reincarnations. Shermy's personality is similar to that of Finn's in earlier seasons. Shermy is seen holding up the Finn Sword in the same pose Finn had at the end of the show's opening sequence. Shermy's red shirt is the opposite of Finn's blue shirt.
By the end of S03, Pen Ward revealed Finn to be 14. In S05E32 (“Earth & Water”), Finn's girlfriend, the Flame Princess' age was said to be 15, which hints at how old is Finn too because in S03E26 (“Incendium”), his best friend Jake said they were the same age.
Is Princess Bubblegum jealous of Flame Princess and Finn?
Bubblegum deeply cares about Finn, and watching him grow up is both a rewarding and also a tough experience for her. The jealousy aspect really stems from Jake, however, who basically instigated the entire conflict of the episode.
In the special "Obsidian" taking place some time in the near future, Princess Bubblegum and Marceline are shown as a couple, possibly living together at Marceline's cave and Bubblegum even refers to Marceline as her "vampire girlfriend" at one point.
Finn admits to Flame Princess that he really likes her and they should be together, which causes her to glow brighter and makes small fires appear around her. Finn is surprised with the fire getting near him, so he tries to put them out, not knowing that by putting out the flames he would hurt Flame Princess.
However, though they are now friends, Marceline still seems to care about her Ax bass more than him, as seen in "It Came from the Nightosphere." In "Go With Me," Marceline makes it clear she does not want to date Finn, but Finn explains that he didn't want to date her either.

Other difficult lessons are handled in the relationships in Adventure Time, such as Finn's relationship with Flame Princess. I found this a particularly touching and important representation, as Finn actually ends up with no one at the end of the series.
