But all of the sudden, the evil Lord Farquaad banishes a bunch of fairy tale creatures to Shrek's swamp. So Shrek now must go on a quest to save Princess Fiona, along with a fast-talking donkey whose name is literally Donkey in order to get his swamp back.
Fiona first appears in Shrek (2001) as a bride chosen by Lord Farquaad, who intends to marry the princess solely so that he can become King of Duloc. In order to regain ownership of his swamp, Shrek and Donkey agree to retrieve Fiona from her dragon-guarded tower and deliver her to Farquaad.
Without Shrek to rescue her, Fiona spent many more years trapped in her tower with no knight able to rescue her. Fiona eventually gave up on waiting for her true love and broke herself out of the tower.
Princess Fiona fell in love with Shrek because of his good-natured personality. In the first film, they also became attracted to each other by bonding over grossly manners (e.g. burping, farting, ogre cuisine) and then they fell in love as a married couple.
Fiona's dragon ate Farquaad and Shrek and Fiona kissed, and as she would take the form of her true love, she stayed in ogre form, but the curse was lifted.

The curse is lifted when Fiona is kissed by Shrek, but she is shocked that "true love's form" has still left her as an ogre. While she had expected to become her human self, Shrek assures her that she is still beautiful and the two get married in Shrek's swamp.
Although in the first film, where he was grossed out by Fiona's grotesque appearance, he might have actually developed real feelings for her as after his demise as he flirted with her while she was on the raft and he wanted her to become his undead queen, so he could rule the underworld.

She does NOT have one since she is a princess even if a fictional one. She is just Princess Fiona. The reason people have last names is so that they can be differentiated by name. There is only ONE Princess who's name is Fiona in the kingdom of Far Far Away, so, she does not need one.
A month later in the wilderness, Rapunzel gives birth to her twin children with the prince – a boy and a girl. For some years, the blind prince wanders through the wastelands of the country and eventually comes to the wilderness where Rapunzel has been living with their children.
Despite being a villain, Rapunzel was depicted in some posters as being with Fiona and the other princesses in their fighting poses. This may have been done to hide the fact that Rapunzel was actually a villain or may be an indicator that an early version of the film had Rapunzel as one of the heroes.

It's suggested that eating the flesh of the knights who came to her rescue was how Princess Fiona was able to survive during her captivity, particularly as it seems to be Dragon who was tasked with her care.
