Daisy is unable to confront the reality of her part in Gatsby's passing due to her feelings of guilt and shame; as a result, she is prevented from attending the funeral of Gatsby. In addition, Daisy is still married to Tom, so she may be concerned about what the aftermath of her attendance at Gatsby's funeral will be.
In the end she cared more about her dignity and was to worried about her shame to attend his funeral. Fitzgerald is trying to say that all the people that went to his parties did not really care much about Gatsby. They only cared about his possessions and parties he held.
Realizing that Gatsby is not made of old money and has illegally acquired his wealth, Daisy begins to lose interest in Gatsby and remains loyal to Tom.
Nick is left to organise Gatsby's funeral. Daisy and Tom have left town. Wolfshiem refuses to come. Hundreds of people attended Gatsby's parties but no-one comes to his funeral apart from Nick, Gatsby's father, and some servants.

Gatsby's funeral is ironic because only three people attend, while enormous crowds attended his parties. Despite being a popular figure in the social scene, once Gatsby passes, neither Daisy, his business partner Henry Wolfsheim, nor any of his partygoers seem to remember him or care.
-Klipsgringer (the boarder) couldn't attend Gatsby's funeral because he was going to a picnic in Connecticut. -Wolfsheim didn't go because he didn't want to get involved.
A distraught George traveled to Gatsby's mansion in West Egg and shot Gatsby dead before turning the weapon on himself. Soon after Gatsby's murder, Daisy, Tom, and their daughter departed East Egg, leaving no forwarding address.
Meyer Wolfsheim, who was very close to Gatsby, uses this as an excuse not to attend Gatsby's funeral. He says that, now that he's old, he can't "get mixed up in all that"—by which he means he doesn't want to be affiliated with Gatsby's death because Gatsby's illegal dealings could unveil his own.
The implication here is that Daisy was romantically experienced and certainly no virgin, an implication further supported in the fact that there was no mention of loss of virginity when Gatsby "took her."
Gatsby, in fact, is never capable of loving her at all; he was born with a life and status too drastically different from hers to ever really connect with her in a true, romantic way. Rather, he loved the idea of Daisy and what she stood for.
She betrays him by being her cowardly self. She tried once to stand up for her love of him when they first met, but her life is more complicated now with an aggressive, domineering husband and a child. She doesn't have any support -other than Nick, her distant cousin, to help her do the right thing.
Daisy allows Gatsby to take responsibility for her mistake. Gatsby was also to blame for his death because he allowed Daisy and her husband to accuse him of Myrtle's murder.
In "The Great Gatsby," ol' F. Scott Fitzgerald himself wrote, “Suddenly, with a strained sound, Daisy bent her head into the shirts and began to cry stormily.
Three days after the murder of Gatsby, a telegram from his father, 'signed Henry C. Gatz' arrives and, a few days later, Mr. Gatz arrives at the mansion.
It is only with Daisy by his side that Gatsby feels special, and when she leaves she takes all her riches with her, leaving him distraught and lonely: “She vanished into her rich house, into her rich, full life, leaving Gatsby – nothing” (Fitzgerald 155).
To Gatsby, Daisy represents the paragon of perfection—she has the aura of charm, wealth, sophistication, grace, and aristocracy that he longed for as a child in North Dakota and that first attracted him to her.
It was ironic that No one came to his funeral either, despite all the hundreds of people that came to his parties. What happened to Tom and Daisy after the death of Gatsby? They left town and never came to the funeral and could not be reached. Who attended Gatsby's funeral?
Upon seeing the shirts, Daisy cries and explains, “It makes me sad because I've never seen such—such beautiful shirts before.” One reason for Daisy's reaction could be that she only cares about material goods, and so something like fine clothing can make her feel affection for Gatsby.
In both book and movie, Gatsby is waiting for a phone call from Daisy, but in the film, Nick calls, and Gatsby gets out of the pool when he hears the phone ring. He's then shot, and he dies believing that Daisy was going to ditch Tom and go way with him.
Feeling that Gatsby would not want to go through a funeral alone, Nick tries to hold a large funeral for him, but all of Gatsby's former friends and acquaintances either have disappeared—Tom and Daisy, for instance, move away with no forwarding address—or refuse to come, like Meyer Wolfsheim and Klipspringer.
Although Nick contacts many of Gatsby's acquaintances as he organizes the funeral, almost no one shows up to pay respects. Daisy, who has run away with Tom, doesn't even bother to send flowers or a note.
Nick took care of Gatsby's funeral because he was his only close friend and the only person who really cared about him. Nobody else showed any interest in Gatsby after his death.
