Parents Need to Know Unlike almost all other superhero movies (except Deadpool), it's rated R, so expect a lot of very edgy material. The main issue is the extremely strong, bloody comic book violence, including characters being sliced through flesh and skulls, shot, shown in pain, and killed.
Rating: R, for strong brutal violence and language throughout, and for brief nudity. Your kids probably really want to see Logan, and who can blame them? It looks awesome, and it is awesome. But it's also awesomely violent.
Those expecting another 'X-Men' film will certainly get a bit of a shock; this is not an exciting superhero movie suitable for all but young children. Instead it is almost consistently downbeat with some fairly brutal violence as Logan and Laura remove limbs and puncture skulls with their adamantium claws.

I figured there would be some language in "Logan," but I was actually surprised by the amount. By the end of the movie, there ended up being about 40 F-words in all. Most are uttered by Logan himself and the cursing comes in spurts. While there is language throughout the film, it isn't constant from start to finish.

This movie deserves its M rating and it isn't recommended for children under 13 years. Also, we strongly recommend parental guidance for younger teenagers. The main messages from this movie are that human life is valuable and that our planet is worth saving and looking after.
Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian over the age of 21 for R-rated movies. I.D. is required for proof of age. Children under 6 years of age are not permitted into R-rated features at all.
