I'd recommend this series to readers 12 and older. Also, it is mostly appropriate for young readers. There is no profanity or sex, but there is a large amount of violence and gore, especially in The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure, and The Kill Order.

The film deserves its M rating. It is very suspenseful throughout and includes some intensely violent and disturbing scenes, including a suicide and the violent deaths of teenagers.

Not for kids. I was really surprised and annoyed at the level of violence, horrible zombie creatures and sexual themes. Definitely nothing like the first movie. I would probably not even let my 16 year old watch this.

Very violent and involving gang killing of a boy. So, this is supposed to be based on the book, one of my son's favourites, but it is far too violent for its PG rating.
