In a scene where Maui tries to become a giant bird, he shuffles through several transformations first. For a split second, he turns into Sven, the beloved reindeer from Disney's "Frozen."
Rachel House reprised her role in the Māori version of Moana, and took over the direction of the dubbing. In many European countries, the name of the titular character, Moana, was changed to Vaiana due to a trademark conflict. The film was released in those countries to bear the alternative name in the title.
Zendaya is not confirmed to be a part of the live-action Moana remake cast. Few updates have happened since Dwayne Johnson's announcement of a live-action Moana movie in 2023. The cast has not been announced, but Auli'i Cravalho (original voice of Moana) has been revealed to be sitting out of the film.
"Pua the pet pig was originally going on the journey with Moana, but the issue was that in a classic hero's journey, the hero leaves all comforts behind. And so we made the difficult decision to leave poor Pua at home, so that all things of Moana's family are left behind," says Shurer.

In the first film, Moana is around 16 years old when she sets out on a journey from her island of Motunui to find Maui and force him to restore the heart of Te Fiti. That would make her about 19 or 20 in the new movie.
Moana's father, Chief Tui, may have been chosen by the ocean before her to bring the Heart of Te Fiti to Maui, indicating a family history of protecting the world. Chief Tui recognizes the Heart of Te Fiti when Moana shows it to him, suggesting that he has seen it before and has a fear associated with it.
At 16 years old, Moana of Motunui has a slender yet muscular build that sets her apart from previous Disney princesses and heroines. She has brown eyes with thick eyebrows and eyelashes, full brownish-pink lips, and long, wavy, black hair.
As a reward for helping Moana restore the heart, Te Fiti recreates Maui's fishhook, which had been previously destroyed by Te Kā. Recreating Moana's boat, she then bids farewell to Moana and lays herself down to rest as the heroine bids farewell to Maui and returns home.
On December 20, Netflix removed Moana to make room for a new lineup of films for Christmas and New Year's Eve. While Moana is no longer available on Netflix, you are still able to enjoy the movie over the holidays. Amazon Prime offers Moana for purchase, and iTunes offers both a rental and a purchase option.
She follows in the footsteps of recent female Disney characters like Elsa from Frozen and Merida from Brave, for whom a boyfriend isn't their first concern. Moana is released in December. Eliminating Prince Charming isn't the only big change Disney are making with Moana.
