Over the years, Gamora became Thanos' favorite child, and he considered her the future heir to his throne, which only strengthened the growing wedge in her relationship with Nebula and in time, Gamora built up the reputation as the "deadliest woman in the galaxy" and became well known throughout the cosmos.
Since Gamora was most regularly successful in advancing his ideals and vision for the universe going forward, he favored her, equating her successes with love.
Thanos was obviously the big bad in both those films, but his adopted Zehoberei daughter was essential to his entire story arc. They had a unique relationship and she was clearly his favorite. To clarify one thing, Thanos deeply cared for Gamora in both Infinity War and Endgame.
Thanos never cared much for Nebula, even going so far as to say in Guardians of the Galaxy that Gamora was his favorite. That could be because, to Thanos, Nebula was nothing more than a means to spare Gamora while still obtaining the Soul Stone.
While Gamora saw her little sister as more of an incompetent annoyance, Nebula saw her big sister as a true threat. Because of this, Gamora and Nebula never actually united against Thanos within Marvel Comics' panels. However, the two eventually did make peace and parted amicably.
However, Red Skull saw his true intentions, informing Gamora that Thanos was, in fact, weeping for Gamora, as he truly loved her as a daughter, and was heartbroken that he had to sacrifice her to get the Soul Stone. Disbelieving, Gamora could not comprehend that Thanos ever showed genuine love for her.
And OOOPS SURPRISE Thanos has to sacrifice "what he loves most" in order to get the stone. His tears imply that he loves Gamora, but in one of my favorite movie moments of all time, Gamora spits back at him, "This isn't love."
Death is predominantly depicted as a skeleton cloaked in a black or purple robe, and at times appears as a Caucasian human female. A storyline in the title Captain Marvel showcases Thanos' scheme to conquer the universe, as the character becomes determined to prove his love for Death by destroying all life.
Thanos is known in Marvel Comics for his everlasting love of Lady Death, but the object of the Mad Titans' desire was originally intended to be a member of the shape-shifting Skrull race.
According to the theory, Thanos adopted Nebula with the intention of sending the two daughters to seek the Soul Stone and force Gamora to sacrifice Nebula. This would still allow him to get the Stone without having to pay such a steep price and would explain why he stoked such a resentment in Nebula.
And why does Thanos call Gamora his "favorite daughter"? In the GotG films, Gamora (along with her unrelated sister Nebula) was adopted by Thanos. He kind of wiped out their species and took them on as his offspring. Gamora's position as “favourite” though was quite simple.
Thanos eventually realizes that all the trouble he went for in the snap: Killing Gamora, Killing Asgard's population, and ruining lives, have been for nothing. Thanos commits to finding a solution to reverse the snap. He starts to repair the gauntlet and confronts the Avengers.
As a youth, Nebula grew up in a torturous environment created by Thanos. Having the Mad Titan as a parental figure would have been bad enough, but she was also constantly compared to her surrogate sister Gamora. Thanos openly favored Gamora, which drove Nebula mad with jealous rage.
Gamora received treatments from Thanos that enhanced her speed, strength, agility, and durability to rival Adam Warlock's (to better slay the Magus, his evil, future self).
Death, the personification of death and the grim reaper, is in love with me, Deadpool! Because she can't have my soul due to me not being able to die. I reciprocate my love for her and so I try to figure out ways for me to lose my healing ability, die and be with my beloved.
The villain in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the strongest villain that Avengers have ever face. He's the son of Alars, a Titans, which considered as the strongest race, just like gods. But who would have thought if Thanos in MCU is thousand years old! His age even surpasses Thor, the god of thunder himself.
It is unknown if she really did love Ernest Fairchild (Evil Ernie) or was simply just using him, though the ending of Evil Ernie #5 implied that, if she didn't initially love him, she ultimately did grow to love him enough to grieve.
This was part of a cosmic process by which the wielder of the Soul Stone had to sacrifice something they truly loved. Thanos killed Gamora regretfully, showing he would truly do anything to accomplish his goals, no matter how much it hurt him personally.
She acts as though she doesn't know Peter and the Guardians because she really doesn't – this Gamora isn't the Gamora we watched in the first two Guardians movies. That version of Gamora really did die when Thanos sacrificed her and the Gamora in Guardians 3 is the alternate-timeline Gamora.
So much so that Tony was arguably the best father figure that Nebula has ever gotten in the MCU. Thanos had an abusive relationship with his adopted daughters. While he favored Gamora (Zoe Saldana), he was harsh and downright dismissive of Nebula.
Part of Nebula's sacrifice was because she was part-machine, but she wanted Stark to have the best shot possible at survival. Nebula respected him, despite his ego, on Titan and knew he was the genius the MCU would need to rebound.
On his ship, Thanos showed Gamora that he had captured Nebula when she had attempted to kill him. He tortured her in front of Gamora, until Gamora revealed the information she had kept from him—that she knew that the Soul Stone was located on the planet Vormir.
