Miles was able to save his father, but during the conflict, police accidentally shot his mother, Rio. As she died, Miles revealed to his mother that he was in fact Spider-Man. She told him she was proud of him, but begged him never to tell his father. Racked with guilt, Miles gave up the mantle soon after.
Across the Spider-Verse presented Miles and the audience with a tricky dilema in which Spider-Man seemly has to choose between saving his father or the universe. According to Spider-Man 2099, if Miles prevents Jefferson from dying, their Earth will be destroyed.
Will Miles save his dad in Beyond the Spider-Verse?
Every Spider-Man has faced the death of a Police Captain, and now Miles will too. Miles obviously doesn't want his father to die, and thus the film ends with him going against the Canon and jumping through the multiverse to save Jefferson from Spot.
Miles learns that his father will die in a few days, which is why he has to make it back to Earth-1610 to stop the Spot. The villain's destined to power up and, according to the mind-meld Miles has with him, cause Jefferson's death.
Miles Morales is faced with the ultimate catch-22 by the end of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. He has learned that his father, Jefferson Davis, is destined to die at the hands of the Spot and this moment is a so-called "canon event" -- a moment that defines the structure of his universe's timeline.

Miles' father Jefferson Davis was killed while protecting the gathered crowd from bombers from the Inner Demons. He manages to find his mother, Rio Morales, and then ultimately finds his father's body before failing to take on the Demons himself.
Miles quits being Spider-Man as a result. A year later he has a girlfriend, Kate Bishop, and plans to tell her about his former life as Spider-Man. S.H.I.E.L.D.
He is the second evil version of Miles Morales, the first being his Earth-616 counterpart, better known as Ultimatum. According to the official Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse artbook, Miles G. Morales isn't technically a villain but more so a vigilante.
Trivia. Jefferson's son, Miles, has his mother's last name, which is Morales, instead of his father's last name, which is Davis. Jefferson Davis shared a name with the President of the Confederate States of America. He legally changed his name partially to avoid this.
Since Earth-1610's Miles Morales wasn't supposed to become Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miguel may resent him for causing Earth-42's Peter Parker to miss on his powers similarly to how Miguel's experiment worked while his first test subject died.

The power of Venom makes Peter even stronger than he usually is, imbuing him with alien strength and unique abilities that make for an especially ferocious foe. Crucially, however, Miles is actually able to beat him thoroughly.
The spider, brought to Miles's Earth-1610 by the Into the Spider-Verse antagonist Kingpin's super-collider machine, was actually from Earth-42, leaving that world without a spider to bite Peter Parker, Miles Morales, or anyone else who could carry the mantle, and thus created a world without Spider-Man.
Miles wasn't inducted into part of the Spider Society since he was never meant to be a Spider-Man. Earth-1610, which Miles is from, was still supposed to have a Peter Parker, but instead, Miles was accidentally bitten by Earth-42's radioactive spider, and Peter died protecting Miles.
But Gwen Stacy isn't the only heroic love interest that has been explored for Miles Morales. In comics, Miles has also shown his interest in Kamala Khan - aka Ms. Marvel, and was once dating Katie Bishop - an alternate reality version of the same character who became Hawkeye.

As of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, she becomes Miles Morales' love interest. In contrast to Mary Jane Watson and pre-Spider-Man Miles Morales, Hailey only have one missions that involves graffiti arts.
He is, in short, a vividly queer character: not in terms of who he desires but in the way he learns to live as a member of a stigmatized minority. This is not to say Miles, a cisgender boy with a crush on a girl, is LGBT within the scope of the story, or that a queer erotic perspective is necessary to enjoy the film.
That spider—seen glitching prior to biting Miles in Into the Spider-Verse—wasn't from his world. That's why Miguel O'Hara calls Miles “the” anomaly. Miles was never supposed to become Spider-Man. His world already had one, and suddenly getting a second instantly led to tragedy.
Prior to this, Ohnn conducted an experiment on the super collider that transported the radioactive spider that bit Miles and turned him into Spider-Man from Earth-42 to Earth-1610.
According to Miguel O'Hara, there is only meant to be one Spider-Man per universe, and the spider biting Miles prevented another universe from having a Spider-Man and put Miles in a position where Peter Parker had to save him, thus costing him his life. Because of all of this, Miles' Spider-Man is an anomaly.
