Are all the films in 3D? 4DX films will not necessarily be presented in 3D. If the particular film is also presented with 3D, glasses will be required. 3D glasses are available to purchase in cinema for an additional $1.00, and are yours to keep and reuse on future visits.

In short, the answer is yes, however, if you try to fit a pair of 3D glasses on top of your normal spectacles, you'll soon find out why some people get frustrated. They simply don't fit and are not comfortable at all. There is an answer for this however, you can get yourself a pair of prescription 3D glasses.
Can the 4DX effects be turned off? There is a button on the arm rest, which can be used to turn the water effects off. No other effects can be turned on/off. All chairs will move together, and no individual chairs can be stopped.

The seats are uncomfortable. They were kind of small and were uncomfortably close to the seat next to you. Which caused me to spend most of the movie leaning on my friend so that I didn't get to close to the stranger sitting next to me.
The only difference is that in 4DX 3D showings they use the Real D-3D format on top of the 4dx features. So it's just the difference between a 2D and a 3D showing in the 4DX format.
