She is a rowdy, tomboyish, and fun-loving gorilla and the best friend of Tarzan. She is also Kerchak and Kala's niece, making Tarzan her human adoptive cousin. Terk acts as a "big sister" figure to Tarzan - protective, concerned, and absolutely convinced that Tarzan can't survive without her.
