One character is made fun of for being a virgin. 3 characters admit to having sex with one person (before the events of the movie), and say they wish they had remained virgins. One character is shown making out with various guys throughout the movie (sometimes more passionately than others).
The acting isn't all that good, and while it was nice to see some Disney stars taking on more mature and realistic roles, the film didn't feel at all believable, as the entire drama of high school felt way too over- the-top. There isn't much reason for this film to exist, except cash-in on the "Mean Girls" name.

Because of some of the content I wouldn't recommend the movie for younger children, but teens and upwards would get a kick out of the sweet romance. Otherwise, this is a great family movie for those of y'all who have older kids.
