In the Lord of the Rings the primary Hobbit females are:
- Rosie Cotton — Sam's love and later wife. She has scenes in the movies.
- Lily Cotton — Rosie's mom.
- Mrs Proudfoot- wife of Odo Proudfoot.
- Lobelia Sackville Baggins.
- Mrs. Bracegirdle.
- And other residents and hangers on.
