Parents need to know that, while the carnage isn't as extreme as it was in the first SCREAM, bloodshed and stabbings are still abundant. So is foul language, and a portrayal of a college campus environment as a place where nobody ever seems to be caught studying, just partying and pledging fraternities and sororities.
Many scenes of people being stabbed frantically and repeatedly and finally slashed across the chest or neck leaving a lot of blood on the body and the surrounding area, a few gunshots leaving some bloody wounds, a few scenes from slasher movies, news reports of murder and carnage.
But at times this movie can feel more like a crime drama and I can't say it's as scary even with a more violent Ghostface. Although this movie lacks in terms of real scares, it still manages to be an above average slasher.
Frequent violence includes multiple stabbings, shootings, and characters shown disemboweled. Bloody injuries are seen, and there are references to rape, torture, and suicide.
While critic and audience score data does support that Scream 3 is technically the worst, it's also possible to think that there aren't truly any bad movies in the Scream franchise.

“Frustration is a form of energy so it does need to come out,” he says. “I would encourage them to scream and have that opportunity for venting.” Screaming, after all, is a reasonable form of venting negative energy and frustration as long as it doesn't involve cursing, Oliver says.

Sidney does still show lots of endurance and perseverance and Gale Weathers is still trying to get a good story on the new Ghostface, just like the first one.
