In Marvel Comics, Thanos is an ultimate villain who needs no introduction, but when it comes to DC Comics powerhouses, the Green Lantern Corps is a group of beings who are so powerful that they could easily stop Thanos dead in his tracks.

That's not to say no single hero can't beat him, as heroes like the original Captain Marvel, Adam Warlock, and Silver Surfer all have victories over him. DC's heroes are often more powerful than their marvelous counterparts, which would give more of them a chance to beat Thanos entirely on their own.
There is no clear answer as to who would win in a fight between Green Lantern and Thor, as both are incredibly powerful superheroes. However, if it came down to it, Thor would likely have the advantage, due to his ability to control the weather and his powerful hammer Mjolnir.
That depends on how they fight. If the Lanterns fights by Hulks rules in a straight up fight, then the Hulk will win, but if the Lantern is clever and uses his brain to out think and avoid Hulk, the Lantern has a good chance of winning.

He's powerful but not invincible, and there are ways to stop him. Hal Jordan, on the other hand, did not need any of these means to beat Superman. Instead, he uses the pure strength of the Green Lantern Corps, proving that a Green Lantern alone is powerful enough to defeat Superman.
Superman is widely regarded to be one of the most powerful beings in the universe, but he has a variety of weaknesses, like Kryptonite, red sunlight, and magic. Which means that of all the Green Lanterns, Alan Scott is the best equipped to defeat him in a fight.
Hal Jordan, a.k.a. The Green Lantern, is a very powerful superhero. He has one of, if not the, strongest wills in the galaxy. As a result, he overmatches many of his foes when he has his ring on. Although Batman is one of the most dangerous people/heroes on Earth, Green Lantern would beat Batman in a fight.
Thanos is indeed formidable and without their universe ending weapons, the two would naturally have an incredible battle. Eventually, though, Darksied's pure strength, infinite resources, auto-win Omega beams and a vast amount of battle experience would give him the ultimate edge.
As mighty as they are, neither Thanos nor Superman is immortal. Both have been killed in the past, meaning neither is unbeatable. However, Thanos would need an ironclad plan to trap and defeat the Man of Steel, because if it comes down to plain old fisticuffs, Superman is definitely going to win.
He has feats such as defeating Surtur (who can destroy a planet), conquering the 9 realms, and sealing away Hela. While there isn't much doubt that Thanos could beat Odin if he had all 6 stones, Odin could probably defeat Thanos if he only had one or two of them.

Green Lantern can create force fields easily so Spider-Man can't even touch him with his hands or webbing. Green Lantern can also shoot energy beams completely decimating Spidey or at least cutting his webbing to where he falls to the ground.
No Green Lantern will see the light of day against Doomsday… Doomsday is a walking monster, one that can casually contend with the likes of Superman and various other powerhouses. Not to mention that Doomsday can adapt to practically any and all that Green Lantern can muster.
Of all the members of the Justice League, no two heroes are more at odds with one another than Batman and Green Lantern. Why do they seem to despise one another so much? Much of it has to do with their methods of seeking justice being pretty diametrically opposed as well as their personalities.
It might take a bit because of Wolverine's healing factor, but eventually, Green Lantern is going to take him down. There's really just nothing Wolverine could do that would allow him to even put a dent in Lantern's defenses and that will cost him.
Galactus would definitely be a threat the Green Lantern Corps would want to deal with, but he's far beyond any one Lantern or even a group of them. However, a Guardian of the Universe could deal with him, and the one Oan with the most experience away from Oa is Ganthet.
A good Green Lantern should be able to beat Loki most of the time. Loki's magic is good, but nowhere near the level needed to stop a power source like a Lantern Ring. Loki would need significant time to prepare for such a fight to stand a decent chance.
Even so, taking both heroes at their maximum potential, it's practically a given that Superman would overpower Thor in terms of sheer physical strength. He may not consider himself a god, but the Last Son of Krypton can still outmatch the God of Thunder on his best day.
Not only do these rings allow the user to fly and survive in outer space, they also enable a Green Lantern to create energy constructs in the shape of anything they can imagine. This actually gives Lanterns a very easy way to beat beings like Superman – by manifesting Kryptonite radiation out of thin air.
