With enough training, Quicksilver would have been more than capable of defeating Thanos when he finally arrived in Infinity War. Unfortunately for the Avengers, Quicksilver heroically sacrificed his life in order to save Hawkeye and a civilian boy during the Battle of Sokovia.
This time, Silver Surfer turns each piece of the villain into ash. After destroying Thanos, he would return to Earth, falling through the Sanctum Santorum, beginning the Infinity Gauntlet saga. Obviously, Thanos would reanimate his body again after the defeat.
While Thanos is an Eternal and has the standard powers of super-strength, agility, regeneration, immortality, and more, Adam Warlock takes the upper hand. He can be killed, but he resurrects to be stronger every time.
Who would win in an MCU fight: Odin or Thanos? Without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos stands little chance against Prime Odin. Odin is stated to be able to shatter the Earth.
So, while Star-Lord had to feel good using the Cosmic Cube to kill Thanos, it was only shortlived as the Mad Titan would eventually escape the Cancerverse (and from getting killed again) and terrorize the Marvel Universe once again.
What if Peter Quill was stopped from punching Thanos, could this alter the timeline entirely and result in an outcome where Thanos couldn't snap. In this universe, things happen the other way and Starlord is stopped by Nebula standing around idly. Then further events lead to the destruction of stones.
As Skyfather of Olympus, Zeus wields power comparable to Odin, whose wrath Thanos has withstood but not bested. At the same time, Zeus cannot truly die. While the most powerful of Olympians can be badly wounded or even dismembered, he can never actually pass on into oblivion.
Thanos and Hulk have clashed several times in Marvel lore, with Thanos even admitting he was scared to face the Hulk before acquiring the Infinity Stones. While Thanos is usually the victor, it's generally down to him using superior tactics and technology, rather than simply possessing greater physical strength.
Summary. Galactus shows he can defeat Thanos, even with the Infinity Gauntlet, with the right amount of prep time in Silver Surfer Rebirth: Legacy #5. Galactus is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe, with very few peers, such as the Living Tribunal and the One-Above-All.
While Thanos has demonstrated a strong combat capability, dismantling Hulk in a series of rapid, well-aimed punches in Infinity War, taking into account Goku's Ki, transformations, and absolute refusal to give up until he's given it his all, Goku comes out on top.
Silver Surfer can stay out of Wolverine's way forever and blast him with impunity. He could use the Power Cosmic to mess with Wolverine's molecular structure and basically make it impossible for Wolverine to hurt him.
10 Hulk. Silver Surfer has handily defeated the Hulk multiple times. While the Hulk is incredibly strong and one of Marvel's most powerful heroes, it's how the Silver Surfer was able to take him down that shows just how strong the herald of Galactus is.
If it wasn't for the energy absorbing abilities of the Power Cosmic, Superman would easily win this fight. He's Surfer's superior in just about every way but power, and has beaten enemies who were vastly more powerful than him in the past.
The Hulk and Deadpool faced each other in a non-canon comic. Here, Deadpool went crazy and started eliminating superheroes and supervillains until there were none left. Yet, Deadpool couldn't defeat Hulk and there was even an instant where Hulk utterly dismembered Deadpool.
Still in a weakened state from his encounters with Hunger, Thanos and the Fallen One, Galactus along with the Silver Surfer, was easily defeated by the Proemial Gods and handed over to Annihilus.
Drax the Destroyer in Marvel Comics is supremely powerful, one member of a short list of characters who have killed Thanos in a one-on-one fight. His MCU counterpart isn't weak, but pales in comparison to the comic book version.
So while Zeus' best feat is defeating a mountain-sized monster, Odin's best feat is defeating a monster as big as nine worlds. Odin outclasses Zeus in intelligence, versatility, strength, and weapons. Zeus simply can't compete. The winner is Odin, All-Father of the Æsir.
As such, Zeus decides to grant the Hulk's request to beat him to death in hand-to-hand combat. The Hulk's first blow sends Zeus crashing into a nearby building. Zeus then returns this with an even more powerful blow. The ruler of the Olympians than overpowers the Hulk, and ultimately knocks him off Mount Olympus.
Hulk has taken on Marvel gods like Thor before and come out victorious, but Zeus represents a much more powerful opponent. The Olympian easily defeated the Hulk and tested his healing factor in their fight.
One of Spider-Man's greatest victories is a fight his fellow heroes don't remember, as the web-slinger's defeat of Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet is only known by him.
The pair went head to head in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, but it has been pretty clear from all the way back in the first Avengers movie that Thanos was the Stark's embodiment of fear.
