Galactus was killed by Thor during the "Herald of Thunder" story arc in Thor (vol. 6) #1–6 (March–August 2020), and reappeared after a two-year hiatus in Fantastic Four (vol. 6) #45 (July 2022)—the final issue of the event "Reckoning War"—where Galactus is resurrected by his former heralds.
Galactus may have immense power, but he needs to constantly feed on planetary-levels of energy to sustain it. Goku, on the other hand, often reaches his most powerful form when he's at the very end of his rope. So while Galactus would get weaker as the fight went on, Goku would get stronger, giving him the edge.

He has feats such as defeating Surtur (who can destroy a planet), conquering the 9 realms, and sealing away Hela. While there isn't much doubt that Thanos could beat Odin if he had all 6 stones, Odin could probably defeat Thanos if he only had one or two of them.
Yes Rune King Thor is that powerful. With a single blow he completely obliterated 5 powerful celestials. Is Thor more powerful than Ikaris or than any other Eternals? Ikaris in the comics is substantially more powerful than in the MCU.
Goku was powerless at this point and had to bring in Zeno to erase the universe in order to beat Zamasu. Considering Dormammu is an all-powerful interdimensional being with complete control over the Dark Dimension, Goku would be overpowered by such a universal threat.
