Morality explained. While you can make certain choices and use spells that may be considered morally questionable, you cannot canonically be evil in Hogwarts Legacy. Essentially, there's no version of the story where you'll be recognised as inherently evil and rise up as a proto-Voldemort.

If you said no the first time, you'll have the opportunity to learn the killing curse from Sebastian later, depending on whether you snitched on him.
What happens if you choose the bad ending in Hogwarts Legacy?
In the Bad Ending, your character again struggles to handle the Ancient Magic unleashed by Ranrok's defeat, but instead of getting help from Professor Fig, you absorb some of that magic into yourself. Gaining an extra burst of strength, your character is then able to seal away the remainder of the magic on their own.
Visiting Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy is only an option for players who chose a particular House at the start of the game, and it is only a very brief and linear visit, but it's still exciting to see and walk around such a storied locale, even briefly.

Is it better to be good or evil in Hogwarts Legacy?
While there is an evil outcome among the several endings in Hogwarts Legacy, for some odd reason, the dark spells themselves have no impact on the progression of the story or the world in any way (apart from the remarks from companions and NPCs).
While Slytherin is presented as the evil house in the books, written from Harry's perspective, Gryffindor is presented as the house of good people. Almost every person introduced as a Gryffindor is a hero in some way. But there are a few Gryffindors in the Harry Potter series who have shown evil traits.
Ambition, resourcefulness, and determination are three of the ones that are commonly associated with Slytherin, and nothing about these traits is inherently evil. Just because you want to do the best you can in life and are dedicated to this doesn't make you a bad person.
Helen and the player Apparate into Azkaban and are instantly met with some hostile Dementors, who Helen dispels using the Expecto Patronum charm. However, these soul-sucking creatures aren't the most dangerous beings within Hogwarts Legacy's prison.
And to answer the first question, there is no “best” house outside of personal preference and history within the universe. Gryffindor was where Harry, Ron and Hermione were placed, the brave heroes. Ravenclaws are smart. Slytherins are power-hungry, often evil and sometimes racist.
To get the "good" ending, players should respond, "I intend to keep it contained here." The second dialogue option has no impact, so players can choose either response to see the good one: "I intend to keep it hidden forever" or "I intend to keep it a secret for now."
What happens if you learn the killing curse in Hogwarts Legacy?
As long as you're sure, pick “Yes please” to learn the curse. Keep in mind that there are no in-game consequences for using Avada Kedavra, or any of the other unforgivable curses, in Hogwarts Legacy. Other characters may comment on it, but it won't have any real impact.
You can chose to contain or control the reserves of dark magic the Keepers are sworn to protect. Any option you chose results in the same boss fight against Ranrok, and Professor Fig dying. There's no way to save him even if you made the “good” decisions.
Should you turn Sebastian in or not Hogwarts Legacy?
Should You Turn Sebastian In Or Not? Players who chose not to learn the three Unforgivable Curses when they had the chance earlier but want to learn them now should choose not to turn Sebastian in; once he is gone, the only way to acquire these spells is for players to begin a new game and start over.
