Unfortunately, the hotel Villa Donna is not real, much like Kalokairi Island. That said, Villa Donna' is supposedly above Glysteri Beach in Skopelos. However, there are plenty of outstanding hotels on both Skopelos and Skiathos for Mamma Mia's lovers to enjoy and feel like part of the cast.

Unfortunately, the Villa Donna on Skopelos was a movie set and that exact hotel does not exist. While some exterior sets were built on-site on Skopelos, these were removed after filming was completed. Only a gateway is said to still remain. In the movie, Villa Donna was located on the cliffs above Glysteri Beach.
What hotel was Mamma Mia I Have a Dream filmed at?
According to WhatsOnStage, filming took place at Villa Donna, which sat up "high in the green mountaintops at the north of the island". Zoe Ball, who hosts the show, said filming Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream in Greece was "perfect".

There is no direct connection from Athens to Skópelos. However, you can take the bus to Kymási, walk to Mantoúdi, take the car ferry to Agnontas, walk to Agnontas, then take the bus to Skopelos.

Does Kalokairi actually exist? 🌍 No, Kalokari is a fictional island in Mamma Mia, the real filming location is in Skopelos. The majority of the film was shot on Glysteri Beach and Kastani Beach, close to Skopelos Town, while Sophie's wedding took place at The Chapel of Agios Ioannis.
Skopelos has no airport, so visitors need to fly to Skiathos, where some other scenes in the original "Mamma Mia" were shot, and then take about an hour-long ferry ride to Skopelos. That's the quickest route. You can also drive up the coast from Athens on the fast, good National Highway.
Donna is introduced as the doting mother to Sophie Sheridan, as well as the cash-strapped and stressed owner and manageress of a hotel, the Villa Donna on the Greek island of Kalokairi. The duration of the trip varies from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the ship, the ferry operator and the port of arrival. Agios Konstantinos - Skopelos: this connection is seasonal, mainly in high season, on a daily basis to the port of Glossa and takes around 4 hours and 45 minutes.
Skiathos, although equally beautiful, offers more in terms of restaurants, watersports and nightlife, so if you're looking for great weather, sandy beaches and relaxation then these two islands fit the bill perfectly. Skopelos has a mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. If you enjoy hot perfect sunny days the best time to visit Skopelos is between June and September. The hottest month of the year is July with an average daily maximum of 30 C and an average low of 21 C.
Skopelos has a nightlife for almost all tastes. The fun in Skopelos with a few clubs, shops with Greek and foreign music, rebetiko places and especially the small but beautiful bars of guarantee you that you will not get bored ( unless you like clubbing, there are 2 - 3 club on the island) ..
If you're looking for a Greek escape away from the crowds, this overlooked and underrated island in the Northern Sporades can turn your dreams to reality. Though it's better known than its low key (but incredibly gorgeous) neighbour Alonissos, Skopelos certainly isn't a part of the usual Greece tourist trail.
Skopelos town itself also offers breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. In the town, you can visit many churches and museums and explore the history of the island. There are also many places of interest outside of Chora. You should rent a car and explore this unique island.
