However, as shown in Marvel's Star Wars: Darth Vader #5 (by Greg Pak, Raffaele Ienco, Neeraj Menon and Joe Caramanga) it wasn't envy of power that drove Anakin over the edge, but rather something far more personal: Skywalker believed that Padme and Obi-Wan might have had an affair.
They still had feelings for one another when she was killed by Darth Maul, seemingly proving he never had his sights on anyone else. Even though Obi-Wan Kenobi is set a decade after Satine's death, it's possible she could appear in flashbacks, reiterating that Padmé was never a romantic interest.
Granted, he chose not to do so in large part because he remembered his own past with Duchess Satine of Mandalore. The two met while Obi-Wan was a Padawan, with the Jedi spending a year with her while assigned to keep her safe during a Mandalorian civil war.
However, when they next met in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Anakin and Padmé's feelings for one another grew into something resembling love, and their wedding at the end of the film solidified their relationship as one of the most important romances in Star Wars history.

Right before Anakin is due to leave for Scipio, he discusses the matter with Yoda and Mace Windu. During this scene, it is heavily implied that Yoda – and thus, Windu – are both aware of Anakin's deeper feelings for Padmé.
Did Padme ever sleep with anyone before Anakin? It is theoretically possible, but highly unlikely. She did have feelings for Clovis, but that relationship didn't really go anywhere and there really aren't other romantic prospects we know about.
Anakin's vision did come true, as Padmé, heartbroken by her husband's downfall, loses her will to live and succumbs while giving birth to twins. Before her death, Padmé still believed there was still good left in Anakin and that one day he could be saved with the help of their children.
When Anakin had to choose between losing Padme — fearing that she might die in childbirth — or turning to evil to “save” her from death, he chose evil. His desire to “save” her at all costs led Anakin to the dark side. For him, the dark side became a means of saving his loved one.
Anakin does not have even the slightest bit of remorse. By the end, he feels nothing but anger. Although he feels regret for killing Padme, he still helps the evil Emperor. The film ends with Anakins standing side by side with the man on whose behalf he has committed all his crimes.
Anakin Hated Obi-Wan Because of an Imagined Relationship With Padme. Although Padme and Obi-Wan's affair couldn't have been further from the truth, Anakin apparently built up a scenario in his mind, which was only heightened by the Jedi Council's obfuscation in other areas.
Every time she speaks, he remembers Padmé. Fighting alongside Sabé reminds him of fighting alongside his wife. While that is certainly painful enough, it's also reminds Vader of the man he used to be, a past he had long ago attempted to kill and bury. However, the memory of Padmé via Sabé won't let his past stay there.
Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda watched Amidala's funeral from Senator Bail Organa's starship, the Sundered Heart. They didn't want to take the risk to come any closer and be found by the Empire, as they were certain that Emperor Palpatine's attention would be fixed on the funeral.
By the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Luke had accepted that Vader is his father, and his hatred toward his father had completely disappeared, transformed into love and hope, like his late mother, Padmé Amidala, Luke believed there was still good left in Anakin and that he could be redeemed.
When Padme confronted her husband on Mustafar, Anakin choked her to unconsciousness out of anger. While the act alone didn't kill her, Anakin's turn to the dark side was too much to bear. Holding on long enough to give birth to her children, Padme eventually passed away, having lost the will to live.
Padmé was born in 46 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin) and Anakin's miraculous Force-created birth came in 41 BBY, so Padmé was five years older than him. They did not meet until Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, which took place in 32 BBY.
He had fallen in love with Padme when they first met when he was still a boy (Padme was only about 4 years older than him) Ten years later, when they met again, and he was a m “mature” adult they were thrown together with him as her protector. She finally began to feel the same love for him.
Anakin and Padmé met when Anakin was still just a young boy in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Though he was already infatuated with her then, it was a boyish crush — one that Padmé could not reciprocate at the time.
We've never actually seen Padme have an intimate relationship with anyone apart from Anakin, and maybe Clovis. Other than that, nobody has come up. But then again, if Anakin was really her first time, she must have been 24. That's 6 years since she is legal.
It's clear that Darth Vader wishes that Padmé joined him so that they could have remained together. But there are moments in Marvel's other Darth Vader series that suggest that, while the Sith Lord is very much still obsessed with the idea of Padmé, her betrayal may have caused him to think ill of his late wife.
