Count Dooku Never Had the Motivations of a True Sith He sacrificed his way of life to pursue what he thought was the only path to "a pure civilization." This is the same kind of authoritarianism that Palpatine envisioned, yet Dooku was slightly less selfish than Darth Sidious.
In the Star Wars prequel trilogy, the Jedi Order learned that Count Dooku was a Sith Lord in the film "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones." The revelation occurred during the course of the movie's events, which were set approximately ten years after the events of "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace."
Despite this, Dooku had spent most of his life as a Jedi, and his goals were not impossible as a Jedi Master, so his desire to “destroy the Sith” with Obi-Wan might not have been a bluff.
He was: Darth Tyrannus. His persona as Count Dooku was better suited to his role as leader of the Separatist faction. If he revealed himself as a Sith publicly, rather than just a former Jedi who left the order because of its supposed corruption, that would have damaged his credibility to most of the Separatists.
According to episode 4, “The Sith Lord,” Dooku was still involved with the Jedi Order during the events of The Phantom Menace, only officially defecting to the Sith shortly after Qui-Gon and Darth Maul's deaths.
Dooku despises Maul for being a threat to him, and for killing his beloved padawan Qui-Gon, and Maul hated Dooku for being his replacement. They also didn't regard each other as a true Sith: Dooku saw Maul as nothing more than a trained animal and Maul saw Dooku as a Sith pretender.
While Dooku may be powerful enough to hide his Sith eyes, there is another reason for his unusual appearance. Dooku's eyes were never yellow because he did not have the same motivation and emotions as other Sith. Dooku was an idealist who left the Jedi because he thought they had lost their way.
Count Dooku's real name, Dooku, was more fitting than his Sith title, Darth Tyranus, as it speaks to his manipulative nature. Dooku played a crucial role in weakening the Jedi and the Republic from within, planting doubt and eroding trust.
Summary. Jar Jar Binks's clumsiness may not be genuine, but rather an act to disguise his true nature as a Sith Lord infiltrating the Republic. Palpatine carefully orchestrated events to manipulate the galaxy, and Jar Jar's involvement suggests he may have been the eyes and ears on Naboo.
In fact, he even planned on replacing Palpatine before Order 66. Out of all the Sith seen throughout Star Wars, Count Dooku still stands apart from them all. While he was undoubtedly evil, he often had a calm politeness rather than maniacal behavior.
Although Qui-Gon never felt close with him, Dooku was quite fond of his former pupil, and Jinn's death on Naboo devastated him. The 2012 Legends novel Darth Plagueis showed Dooku's gradual fall to the dark side in detail, and his feelings on the death of Qui-Gon contributed to this fall from grace.
His best friend had been given a gift that could have allowed the Jedi to help countless people, but Yoda refused to act. As a Jedi, Dooku couldn't stand the thought that his best friend was suffering without a purpose, so he hated Yoda and the Jedi Order for that.
While many viewers might describe Count Dooku as evil, he ultimately had a vision in mind for the galaxy, with the hope of bringing peace, justice, and security to his new Empire. He likely believed his version of the Empire would have been far less oppressive than what Emperor Palpatine eventually introduced.
As the son of Mother Talzin, the Zabrak male was taken from a young age by Sidious to act as his impressionable apprentice. The boy was raised as Darth Maul, a name he carried throughout his life. In Legends, it was insinuated that he was born "Maul" before attaining the honor of the "Darth" title.
Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo. A Force-sensitive Hysalrian, N'Kata Del Gormo was trained in the ways of the Force and achieved the rank of Master within the Jedi Order.
However, joining the Sith means declaring loyalty to the dark side, which Anakin did before his eyes turned yellow. This may explain why Kylo Ren, torn between the light and dark, didn't have yellow eyes in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, as killing his father split his spirit even more.
Sidious may have given Dooku the title of Darth Tyranus, but because the Jedi Order knew him as Count Dooku, greatly preferring to not indulge his role as a Sith, they continued to call him by that name.
After learning that Palpatine was secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, Dooku turned to the dark side and became a Dark Lord of the Sith himself, replacing Darth Maul as Sidious's second apprentice. His new master bestowed upon him the Sith title of Darth Tyranus.

Regardless, based on the season 7 of The Clone Wars, and the fact that Darth Maul was aware of Anakin Skywalker's future and his role as the Chosen One, it is very likely that Darth Maul indeed feared Darth Vader to some extent, and preferred to avoid a direct confrontation with him, at least, on his own.
Obi-Wan does quite well against every other foe he has faced, if not outright defeated them. But both times he went against Dooku he got easily defeated. Because Qui-Gon was taught by Dooku, so Dooku knows all about Obi-Wan's techniques and fighting style.
