Pink managed to escape at the end of Reservoir Dogs and even went on to appear in Pulp Fiction. The fate of Steve Buscemi's Mr. Pink in Reservoir Dogs has long been one of Quentin Tarantino's biggest mysteries, but Buscemi has a theory that connects directly into Pulp Fiction.
Mr. Pink is probably the only known character to survive the events of the movie. Listening closely to background dialogue in the final scene, it appears Mr Pink was shot and apprehended by police if he was not killed by them.
The criminal themes and violence (most notably the torture sequence) in Reservoir Dogs had therefore to be revisited in the light of potentially harmful effects – particularly to younger viewers – in the home viewing environment. In fact, the BBFC concluded that these issues could be robustly defended at 18.

He says flat out that he doesn't believe in tipping, as if tipping were something that required belief in the first place, like some sort of religious ritual. He says that he once worked a minimum wage job and never got any tips.
Pink runs out, which Quentin Tarantino has since confirmed was the sound of Mr. Pink yelling at the cops who shot and arrested him. This makes Mr. Pink the only member of the team to officially survive.
Mr. Pink: I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds.
Mr White was convinced as he hated Mr Blonde, but Eddie did not believe his story as Mr Blonde had been fiercely loyal before. Joe then arrived, telling Eddie that Mr Orange was the man who set them up.
Reservoir Dogs introduced the audience to Quentin Tarantino's narrative and visual style, as well as to some of his most used tricks, but it also caused controversy due to one specific scene starring Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen), which in turn showed viewers the type of violence they could expect from Tarantino's works.
Pink can be heard yelling "Don't shoot, I've been shot goddamnit!" as the police order him to throw his gun away, and they later tell him to place his hands behind his back. That means that yes, while Mr. Pink was wounded he did survive Reservoir Dogs, but is left to take the blame for the robbery as the sole survivor.
While Orange might have shot himself in the foot by asking White's name, he shoots himself in the head by confessing to White that he is a cop, a cop that White just defended with his life, and because of whose lies White just killed two close friends.
Pink is the only survivor after leaving with the stolen diamonds in the end. We can only surmise what may have happened to him outside, but he was either killed by police, arrested, or somehow got away.
Pink is the Buddy Holly impersonator in Pulp Fiction who takes Mia and Vincent's food orders at Jack Rabbit Slims. It's extremely plausible, as Mr. Pink seems to survive Reservoir Dogs' ending, yet the movie ends before Mr. Pink's fate is truly revealed.
Only Pink gets out alive… but he's caught seconds after he leaves. When the standoff finally happens that results in four deaths, we can really see it as a series of avoidable actions that our ill-fated characters were destined to take.
Joe explains in the film's final scene that he was killed - presumably he was shot by the police. In the Reservoir Dogs video game, however, it is shown that after escaping from Karina's Wholesale Diamonds, he entered a movie theatre where he was then shot by the police. This may have been his real fate in the film.
In fact, the rat is perhaps the one you'd least suspect, the quiet one and the diner and the one who is badly wounded in the heist. It's Mr Orange. The closest thing Tarantino's ever given resembling an explanation is that the title popped into his head when he visited a production company. The company was full of unmade scripts and they were jokingly described as 'reservoir dogs' – as in, dogs trapped in a reservoir tank and fighting for attention.
