Sally met Poseidon in Montauk twelve years before the series started, seeing his trident through the Mist. They fell in love, spent the summer together, and conceived a son, Percy.
Poseidon then tells Percy of the war he is having in his underwater kingdom, and gives him a birthday present, a sand-dollar. He then warns Percy of the upcoming disasters, and leaves. He also tells Percy that he is his favorite son.
Poseidon also well in love with Amphitrite, who actually became his wife and goddess of the sea. She was the daughter of Nereus and Doris (the daughter of Oceanus) and was seen as the female personification of the sea. Makes sense that the god of the sea would want the female personification of his domain.
Sally Jackson's fate in the TV show suggests she is killed by the Minotaur, but the books reveal that she is actually alive and in the Underworld with Hades. Hades takes Sally in order to use her as a bargaining chip to retrieve his stolen Helm of Darkness, which he believes Percy stole along with Zeus' Master Bolt.
A place to talk about anything within the Percy Jackson universe. Does Poseidon actually love or at least care for Percy? It might not be obvious when reading the books that he does, but he definitely does. The reason it's not obvious is because Poseidon CAN'T show his affection.
Since she could see through the Mist, she knew exactly who and what he was. The two eventually formed a romantic relationship. They talked about their problems, but Sally rejected Poseidon's offers to solve hers by living in an underwater palace. They ended their relationship soon after their demigod son was born.
Percy pulled Annabeth close and kissed her... long enough for it to get really awkward for Piper, though she said nothing. She thought about the old rule of Aphrodite's cabin: that to be recognized as a daughter of the love goddess, you had to break someone's heart.
We know that she had to drop out of High school during her senior year to take care uncle whom was diagnosed with cancer. She took care of him for a while before he passed away. She supposedly met and fell in love with Poseidon a short time later. I would say she would have been in her early 20s personally.
Upon returning to Camp Half Blood, Percy is betrayed by his friend Luke, son of Hermes, who turns out to be the human hero whom Kronos used for the theft. Luke poisons Percy, and tells him before leaving that Kronos will rise and destroy the age of the gods. Western Civilization is unraveling.
Poseidon and Sally are reunited together through the love of their son, Percy. She is fiercely protective of Percy, which is why she married Gabe Ugliano and why she sent him away to Yancy Academy to keep him safe. She is ultimately supportive of him, as she encourages him to save Annabeth from the Titans and Luke.
Poseidon's favorite demigod son, Percy Jackson, was noted to be nearly the spitting image of his father, with the same black hair, sea-green eyes, and brooding look.
Much like Hades, Poseidon did not like Zeus being regarded as the supreme god. He felt that he should be equally as powerful, if not more so, than Zeus. Because of his envy, Poseidon would often plan ways to overthrow Zeus, making the king of the gods feel threatened by his brother.
Poseidon warned Kratos that Olympus' destruction meant the world's destruction. The Ghost of Sparta did not react and told him to prepare for his own death, Kratos proceeded to brutally beat on the sea god, before finally finishing Poseidon by gouging out his uncle's eyes with his thumbs and snapping his neck.
Throughout the book, it is mentioned several times that Annabeth is deeply in love with Percy and that she cannot live without him. She also thinks about their future at Camp Jupiter, which Percy mentioned before, and she states that she would like to die peacefully, after spending a long life with Percy.
However, it's Medusa's resentment speaking during this scene. Annabeth doesn't betray Percy in Riordan's books, and she's even more hurt by Luke's betrayal than Percy. Percy and Annabeth eventually end up together, and they spend much of the series endlessly loyal to one another.
Back home, Percy reunites with his mother and Smelly Gabe. Smelly Gabe blames him for his destroyed car and says he is not welcome there. He raises his hand to hit Sally when she tries to defend Percy.
After Percy's return and her rescue, Sally finally has enough of Gabe's abuse, kills him with Medusa's Head, and sells his petrified corpse as a sculpture of her design, earning her enough money for her and her son to start a new life. Percy Jackson, his former stepson.
Percy has very few memories of his father because Poseidon was forced to leave Sally and Percy to protect them from Zeus, who would be angry if he knew his brother had fathered a child. Demigods are considered powerful, and Zeus views them as a threat to his own position.
While this may seem like a betrayal at first, it was actually Grover playing the part of protector to a tee. Knowing that monsters will find Percy at Yancy, Grover realizes he has to get him away from the school as quickly as possible.
Sally married Gabe to protect Percy from monsters — Gabe's “stench,” as put by Riordan, prevented monsters from sniffing out Percy — but that element was missing in the series. Further, in the season finale, Gabe is just gone.
They talk to his grandma and escape the giants and fly north to Alaska. During the ride, Hazel kisses Percy on the cheek, but just as sisterly love. They stay in Hazel's old house for awhile after getting attacked by Gryphons and take Arion to the home of the giant, Alcyoneus who imprisoned Thanatos.
She appears first in the first novel of the series, The Lightning Thief. In the series she becomes close friends with Percy Jackson, later becoming his main love interest and girlfriend. Annabeth is architect of Olympus and one of the leaders in Camp Half Blood for half bloods/demigods.
